<p class="mol-para-with-font">Katrina L. Danforth, 32, who appeared in pornographic films under the name Lynn Pleasant and Lynn Passion, was handed the sentence in an Idaho courtroom on Tuesday.<br />
She was accused of agreeing to pay a hitman, who was later revealed to be an undercover police officer, $5,000 to kill a former partner in 2018.<br />
U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill also ordered Danforth to serve three years of supervised probation following her prison sentence and pay a $1,000 fine.<br />
Danforth who originally pled not guilty to any crimes, recanted and changed to a plea of guilty on two counts of use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder for hire in August 2019.<br />
Defense attorney&#8217;s argued that Danforth underwent a volatile childhood, including sexual violence, before going into adult entertainment.<br />

Prosecutors who described the explanation as self-serving, said the claim was unfounded and lacked evidence.<br />
Winmill called Danforth&#8217;s 20-minute speech a deflection of responsibility for her actions and was concerned at her attempt to justify the situation.<br />
He recommended Danforth be sent to the Federal Correctional Institute, Dublin in California, a low-security prison for females.<br />
