<p class="mol-para-with-font">A former Pennsylvania youth pastor serving time for sexually assaulting a teenage girl has been charged with hatching a revenge murder-for-hire plot from behind bars targeting the church official who reported his crimes to the authorities and the judge who sentenced him.<br />
The Chester County District Attorney&#8217;s office on Friday announced that 37-year-old Jacob Malone has been charged with attempted murder, criminal solicitation, attempted aggravated assault and terrorist threats.<br />
Malone allegedly tried to put a hit on a pastor at the Exton, Pa., church where he worked in 2015, and who reported his affair with a teenage girl to authorities after she gave birth to his child.<br />
He also planned to assassinate the county judge who presided in his case as well, according to the complaint.<br />
Malone was sentenced in 2017 to serve three-to-six years in prison after he pled guilty to counts of institutional sex assault, corruption of minors and child endangerment for sexually assaulting and impregnating a 17-year-old girl who lived with his wife and their three children.<br />

<p class="mol-para-with-font">According to the prosecution, in July 2019, Malone approached a fellow inmate at a minimum-security prison near Pittsburgh and offered him $5,000 to kill Harold Lee Wiggins, head pastor at Calvary Fellowship church in Downingtown.<br />
According to a report by <a class="class" href="https://www.dailylocal.com/news/youth-pastor-wanted-colleague-judge-killed-police-say/article_ad07d740-58ee-11ea-9312-2be5768975d6.html" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">Daily Local News</a>, Malone allegedly handed the inmate, Angelo Tomeo, a map of the church and a detailed description of the Sunday church services.</p>

In the end, his contemptuous attitude towards the concept of statutory rape earned him a longer sentence.<br />
Still Malone allegedly held a grudge against Pastor Wiggins because the clergyman had been a key witness in the case against him.<br />
The disgraced youth pastor allegedly offered additional money for the murder of Somerset County Common Pleas Judge Jacqueline Cody, who presided over his sexual molestation case.<br />

<p><span style="color: var(--color-text);">Two months into his incarceration, Malone allegedly approached his cellmate, Anthony Yerger with the plot. He &#8216;wanted to get revenge on the people involved in his case,&#8217; Malone allegedly told Yeager, the DA&#8217;s office said in a news release.</span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Yerger, whom Malone also allegedly tried to draw into his plot, reportedly urged the jailed youth pastor to &#8216;drop it,&#8217; and Malone purportedly agreed to &#8216;put it behind him.&#8217;<br />
Instead of going along with the homicidal plan, both Tomeo and Yerger reported the matter to the authorities.<br />
A Calvary Fellowship spokesman told <a class="class" href="https://6abc.com/5971477/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">WPVI </a>Pastor Wiggins has already forgiven Malone for allegedly trying to have him killed.<br />
Malone was arrested last Thursday and booked into the Phoenix state prison north of Philadelphia.<br />
Malone, a married father-of-three, had first met the victim in the sexual assault case years ago when she was 12 years old and attending a Mesa, Arizona, church where he worked as a pastor, authorities said.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The following month, she made the move with the family to Exton, Pennsylvania, where Malone began working at the nondenominational church Calvary Fellowship.<br />
Malone even registered the teenage girl at a local high school and eventually became her guardian.<br />
The teenager told police Malone began sexually assaulting her in the fall of 2014, when she was 17.<br />
She said he gave her alcohol twice after she turned 18, and in one of the instances molested her after she became highly intoxicated.<br />
Leaders at Calvary Fellowship learned of the girl&#8217;s pregnancy in November 2015. Malone admitted to impregnating the teenager and resigned that same month.<br />
The victim gave birth to her and Malone&#8217;s daughter in 2016.<br />
The young woman, now in her early 20s, maintained that Malone took advantage of her &#8216;mentally, physically, spiritually&#8217; while acting as her guardian.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;She admired me and trusted me, and I betrayed that,&#8217; he said of the victim.<br />
Cody, who had rejected an earlier plea deal that called for a two-year minimum jail term, called the case &#8216;one of the times when the court system fails&#8217; and said even with the stiffer sentence in the new plea agreement, Malone would be getting off with a much lighter punishment that his crime merits.<br />
&#8216;You have taken responsibility for a very, very serious series of crimes that have completely altered someone’s life,&#8217; the judge also told Malone. &#8216;The things you have done are inexcusable.&#8217;<br />
The original charges against Malone included rape. His defense attorney Evan Kelly said in a statement that Malone &#8216;has always been adamant&#8217; he did not rape the teenager but has admitted to other crimes. &#8216;And for that he is embarrassed, ashamed and truly remorseful,&#8217; Kelly said.</p>
