<p class="mol-para-with-font">A Wisconsin middle school teacher is accused of having sex with her 16-year-old foster son after her husband is said to have secretly recorded their pair during their trysts.<br />
Stephanie Pudlowski, 38, was arrested on May 15 after police say audio and video taken in the home they shared in Oneida County showed she had a sexual relationship with the boy. Her husband who set up the sting has now filed for divorce.-<br />
The foster mom was charged with sexual assault of a child placed in substitute care, sexual intercourse with a child age 16 or older and causing mental harm to a child, <a class="class" href="https://www.wjfw.com/storydetails/20200518120803/rhinelander_teacher_accused_of_mental_harm_and_sexual_assault_to_a_child" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">NewsWatch12</a> reports.<br />
Pudlowski reportedly, met the boy while teaching at James Williams Middle School. Police say no sexual contact occurred on district property.<br />
But after taking in the teenager last year Pudlowski is said to have admitted having sex with him, according to authorities.<br />
The Rhinelander middle school employee has since resigned from her post as an eighth-grade English language arts teacher, the district said.<br />
Pudlowski&#8217;s husband told law enforcement he installed cameras in their home<br />
He came s<span class="production-element" data-production-element-type="package">uspicious of an inappropriate relationship between his wife and their 16-year-old foster son, after placing surveillance cameras in the common areas of their home and observing inappropriate behavior.</span><br />
He secretly <span style="color: var(--color-text);">placed an audio recorder in the basement, where the foster child&#8217;s bedroom is located.</span><br />
<span style="color: var(--color-text);">The complaint states that recordings did depict some sort of sexual activity between Pudlowski and her foster son, which the complaint states had been going on for the last three to four months, and as often as a couple times a week over the last month. Stephanie Pudlowski and her teenage foster son allegedly, </span><span style="color: var(--color-text);">were often alone in that room, with the door closed, a development which Pudlowksi says was due to the child being a loud gamer, and not always due to sexual purposes.<br />
</span><span style="color: var(--color-text);">In an interview with officers, Pudlowski says the child never asked for the sexual contact, and did not respond when she was asked if the child ever said no.</span></p>
