<p>A 13-year-old boy accused of being involved in the murder of Tessa Majors pleaded guilty to robbery Wednesday.<br />
The teen admitted handing over knife used to kill the Barnard College student at a hearing in the Manhattan Family Court.<br />
The 18-year-old freshman was fatally stabbed during a robbery in Morningside Park near the Barnard campus in upper Manhattan in December last year.<br />
Prosecutors had said that Rashaun Weaver, 14, stabbed Majors. A second 14-year-old boy identified as Luchiano Lewis, prevented her from escaping as she called for help.<br />
Weaver and Lewis both pled not guilty to murder in February.<br />
<span style="color: var(--color-text);">The 13-year-old boy, who has not been named because he is being tried as a juvenile, told the hearing Wednesday: &#8216;Rashaun used the knife I had handed to him to stab Tessa Majors.&#8217;<br />
</span>He added: &#8216;Rashaun went over and said something to Tessa majors on the stairs. She started yelling for help.&#8217;</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Assistant Corporation Counsel Rachel Glantz said: &#8216;Although respondent acted in concert in committing robbery and murder on Ms. Majors, he was not the main actor.&#8217;<br />
Weaver and Lewis were arrested in February after a two-month investigation into the stabbing. The Associated Press identified the 14-year-olds because of the seriousness of the crime and because they are charged as adults.<span style="color: var(--color-text);"> </span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">She staggered up a flight of stairs to street level and collapsed. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.<br />
Prosecutors say Majors fought back against her attackers and DNA from her fingernails matched Weaver’s DNA. They say Weaver was heard on an audio recording describing hitting Majors with a knife.<br />
Weaver has also been charged with robbing another person in the park.</p>
