<div>Rapper Lil Marlo has died at the age of 30 after he was fatally shot as he was driving in Atlanta over the weekend in what cops believe was targeted attack.<br />
The rapper, who signed with Quality Control Music in 2017 and was close friends with rappers Lil Baby and Lil Yachty, was shot as he drove down Interstate 285 in downtown Atlanta late Saturday night.<br />
Police responded to a call of a single-vehicle accident around 11.30pm and found the rapper fatally shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to <a class="class" href="https://www.tmz.com/2020/07/12/atlanta-rapper-lil-marlo-dead-dies-27-lil-yachty/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">TMZ</a>.<br />
&#8216;At this time, investigators believe the victim was the intended target of the gunfire and they are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting,&#8217; police said.<br />
The Medical Examiner confirmed they have the body of Rudolph Johnson, Lil Marlo’s government name.</div>

<p>Hhis record label Quality Control Music Sunday <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CCjlJPCjMmg/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">announced the death of Rudolph &#8220;Marlo&#8221; Johnson</a> in a social media post, saying he will be remembered as &#8220;a man of great talent who feared nothing.&#8221;<br />
Police identified Johnson as a 30-year-old male, while the social media post from Quality Control Music says he was born in 1993, which would make him around 27.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">&#8216;Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and found the 30-year-old driver deceased inside the vehicle. The preliminary investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling on I-285 in the Southbound lanes when the driver was shot,&#8217; Atlanta Police Department said.<br />
Officials said he was 30 years old through Johnson was reportedly 27.<br />
Cause of death has yet to be determined, according to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office.<br />
Video footage of the shooting site emerged on social media showing the car Lil Marlo was allegedly in with the driver’s side door open and a group of police and investigators nearby.<br />
