<p><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">A single mother living in suburban Nassau, part of New York&#8217;s Long Island County has cried out for help as she lives in fear of her life following protracted race-tinged harassment from neighbors.<br />
Jennifer McLeggan, a black nurse has shared a heartbreaking message on her front door revealing years of alleged racial harassment by her white neighbors.</span></p>

<p>McLeggan, a single mother, wrote that a blow torch had been taken to her home, feces thrown at her property. Those her neighbors had even threatened to &#8216;erase&#8217; her.<br />
She said that this has been the case since she purchased the home in New York and that she has even won a $5,000 judgement from a video she took of the abuse.<br />
&#8216;They are now planting dead squirrels on my property and have told me to go back to where I come from.&#8217; Jennifer wrote.<br />
Unfortunately, police claim she will only get protection if and when she is harmed, the property violation not withstanding.</p>

McLeggan spoke alongside several other activists outside of her home, sharing a video on the Instagram page of her talking to various people about what she has experienced.<br />
The mother said she was pregnant when she first moved to the home and she asked the neighbors to give her some time to fix the property, which was not in good shape.<br />
However, Jennifer said her neighbors kept complaining because they wanted her to cut down the trees on her property, and fix the windows.<br />
She later did so and put up a fence in the garden, resulting in the neighbors calling the police on her because they did not want a fence put up.<br />
Jennifer was forced to go to court just one month after giving birth to her child and said the court &#8216;took pity&#8217; on her.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">She decried the fact that despite her reporting the neighbors throwing human and dog feces into her garden, police officers told her it was &#8216;not a violent crime&#8217; so they could not do anything about it.<br />
An image shared on Twitter shortly after McLeggan&#8217;s post was shared showed a man watching over her home in an effort to protect her and her daughter.<br />
She has also received support from a black motorcycle club called Triple X MC.</p>
