<p>A mother-of-four from Massachusetts has been killed in a suspected murder-suicide, just days after a judge rejected her request for a permanent restraining order against the boyfriend she dated for ten years before the break.<br />
Migdalia Perez, 47, and Jose Muniz Badillo, 49, were found dead from gunshot wounds in the hallway outside her third-floor apartment in the 200 block of Central Street in Gardner at around 4.30pm on Saturday.<br />
Witnesses reported hearing an argument between the couple before gunshots rang out. <span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">Badillo fatally shot Perez before turning the gun on himself, prosecutors said.. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">Court documents </span><span style="color: var(--color-text); font-size: 1rem;">have revealed that just two days before her death, Perez requested a permanent restraining order against Badillo, telling a judge through a Spanish interpreter that she &#8216;feared for her life,&#8217; <a class="class" style="font-size: 1rem;" href="https://www.boston25news.com/news/25-investigates/25-investigates-victim-gardner-murder-suicide-sought-restraining-order-against-her-attacker-request-was-denied/TSVOEMU275CBZIMZCUFHADYHIM/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">Boston 25 News</a> reports. </span></p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">She told the judge that while her ex-boyfriend of 10 years had not been physically abusive toward her, she was concerned for her safety because she believed he could turn violent.<br />
The judge found her explanation &#8216;insufficient&#8217; and denied her request.<br />
Another judge last month granted Perez an emergency restraining order against Badillo after concluding &#8216;there is a substantial likelihood of immediate danger of abuse.&#8217;<br />
In an affidavit, the mother-of-four described Badillo as a verbally abusive &#8216;alcoholic.&#8217;<br />
On the day Perez moved out of the home she shared with her boyfriend, Badillo exploded in rage and proceeded to break &#8216;all the stuff left in the apartment dining room and living room.&#8217;</p>

The two judges involved in Perez&#8217;s case have not been named.<br />
Perez is survived by her four children. Her daughter Minnievet Marrero has launched a <a class="class" href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/perdida-de-nuestra-madre" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener">GoFundMe </a>campaign to help the family with her mother&#8217;s funeral expenses.<br />
Badillo&#8217;s own daughter also started an online fundraiser, asking for donations to help send her father&#8217;s body to his native Puerto Rico for a &#8216;Chrisian burial.&#8217;</p>
