<p>Jeremiah Wesley Penn has been charged with capital murder after Johnarian Travez Allen was shot eight times in Union Springs, Alabama last Thursday evening..<br>Penn, 22, reportedly confessed to fatally shooting Allen, 29. The apparent motive, according to Union Springs police, stems from Allen crossing a road too slowly.<br>Penn allegedly got out of his car to confront Allen on his speed crossing the road before Allen was shot eight times, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.foxnews.com/us/alabama-pedestrian-shot-walking-too-slowly">Fox</a> reports. <br>Authorities believe Penn got out of his vehicle and engaged in a verbal altercation with Allen, shortly after that, Penn shot Allen multiple times.<br>Police responded to the scene at a gas station on Underwood Avenue. <br>The shooter, later identified as Penn, who had already fled but law enforcement says he quickly sought out a sheriff’s deputy friend to whom he turned himself in.<br>That’s when Penn confessed, according to Union Springs Police Chief Danny Jackson</p>

<p>Union Springs police said Penn had been on his way to buy when food when the pair got into a disagreement. <br>In a statement to their Facebook page, police said: &#8216;The Union Springs Police Department responded to a fatal shooting of Joharian Allen on Thursday, August 28th, near Underwood Avenue and Baskin Street around 7:00 pm after a verbal altercation.<br>&#8216;Jeremiah Penn, 22, has been charged with Capital Murder in the death of Joharian Allen. <br>&#8216;Penn later turned himself in to an off duty Sheriff Deputy Chad Faulkner.&#8217;</p>
