Thomas Walker was on probation for stabbing his cousin when he allegedly killed his own mother. He was charged with murder Friday after he walked into the Stratford Police Dept. and said he wanted to “report a body”.

A Connecticut man who was on probation for stabbing his cousin is now accused of killing his mother, and showed “no emotion” when detectives told him she was dead, police said.
Thomas Walker, 31, who has history of mental health issues was charged with murder Friday after he walked into the Stratford Police Department and told officers he wanted to “report a body,” the Connecticut Post reports.
Walker had scratches on his face and appeared to have blood on his sneakers at the time, police said.
Officers dispatched to the home the man shared with his mother found Pamela Walker, sitting on the floor next to her bed with multiple stab wounds to her neck and chest.
Thomas Walker told detectives he had been home with his mother when the two of them got into an “altercation,” but was vague on the nature of the altercation and didn’t recall what happened next, police said.
Next thing he remembered was changing his clothes and walking to the Police Department, the suspect said during his police interview.
“We informed Thomas that his mother was found dead in his home. He showed no emotion,” police said.
Walker’s sister told police he had a history of mental illness, describing him as “bat ****** crazy.” She said she had contacted his probation officer in an effort to get him mental health treatment.
A judge set bail for Walker, who was arraigned via video Monday in Bridgeport, at $2 million. The suspect appeared emotionless during the proceeding as he rested his head against the bars of a courthouse cell.
The judge noted Walker had been on probation when he allegedly stabbed his mother to death just months after stabbing his cousin several times last year at a home in Bridgeport.
Walker pled guilty in December to second-degree assault in the attack against his cousin. According to the police report, Walker had gone to a cousin’s home in Bridgeport with a large knife, forced his way into the home and stabbed the victim several times.
He was sentenced to six months in prison and three years of probation.
“It’s a disturbing, sad case,” Superior Court Judge Tracy Lee Dayton said after his latest court appearance.
“The state has a very strong case against Mr. Walker,” Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Kevin Dunn said.
