<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The death of a woman found mortally injured on the sidewalk in Queens, New York has been ruled a homicide and her boyfriend is facing charges related to murder according to police.<br>When police found 37-year-old Danielle Marrano mortally injured outside her building on Ocean Promenade in Rockaway Park the afternoon of Oct. 26 they at first thought she committed suicide by jumping to her death. <br>Police said Monday that Marrano was actually beaten and choked by her boyfriend, before then throwing her down to her death from her sixth-floor apartment,<br>Marrano, who works with the New York City Transit Authority, was rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where she died hours later.<br>Hospital staff contacted authorities after doctors found she suffered four fatal skull fractures, two of which were inconsistent with injuries from a fall.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Her boyfriend, Shmuel Levine, 34, under questioning, eventually admitted to killing her, saying he lashed out after she had admitted to cheating on him, according to a law enforcement sources. <br>The criminal complaint charge sheet states that Levine admitted to putting the victim in a headlock, pulling her hair and stealing her cellphone.<br>The city Medical Examiner deemed her death a homicide, finding she died from multiple blunt impact injuries.<br>Levine has been charged with murder, robbery and assault, the Queens District Attorney’s office said. He is being held without bail.<br>Marrano, whose funeral was scheduled for Monday, was memorialized in a <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/brooklyn-ny/danielle-marrano-9871407" target="_blank">video</a> posted by her family on the website for the funeral home handling her burial. <br>It shows Marrano through the years and includes photos of her dressed as a ballerina and in her graduation cap and gown, as well as happy pictures of her with relatives and friends.</p>
