<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A British Royal Navy nurse appeared before a military court Wednesday, accused of who harassing her female boss who is claiming the defendant of &#8220;ogled&#8221; her breasts and made jokes about &#8220;milky&#8221; coffee.<br>Commander Sally-Anne Bagnall iallegedly bombarded Surgeon Captain Elizabeth Crowson with &#8220;blatantly sexual&#8221; texts about threesomes.<br>She is also accused of causing her married superior officer &#8220;great distress&#8221; &#8211; despite Capt Crowson repeatedly batting away her advances.<br>Cdr Bagnall also clmade sexual innuendos about &#8220;milky&#8221; coffee and said she &#8220;ogled&#8221; her breasts while at Defence Primary Health Care HQ in DMS Whittington, Staffordshire, in 2018.<br>Capt Crowson is now in charge of the Institute of Naval Medicine in Gosport, Hants, Capt Crowson said the advances were not reciprocated branded Cdr Bagnall “nutty” for suggesting misspelt emails contained hidden sexual messages.<br>She told the court: &#8220;She [Bagnall], got the wrong end of the stick completely, when she began harassing her.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She said: &#8220;Conversations about my marriage would then veer towards her assertion that tensions in my marriage were due to me being in internal conflict about my sexuality.<br>&#8220;Initially she was just exploring whether I was having difficulties about my sexuality but as it progressed it became clear she was presenting herself as a potential romantic suitor.<br>&#8220;She thought I was interested in her and she said she was available and willing to engage the relationship.<br>&#8220;I was always very clear about my sexuality, I&#8217;ve never had any leanings in that direction whatsoever.<br>&#8220;She refused to accept my assertions that I was not gay or looking to start a romantic relationship with her. She refused to accept them no matter how clearly I stated them.&#8221;<br>Capt Crowson said the ordeal caused her a “huge amount of distress” and that she was “bewildered and perplexed” as to how Cdr Bagnall had drawn the conclusions that she had.<br>The defendant, 51-year-old Cdr Bagnall, has claimed that the married mother-of-three suing her, was “in denial about her sexuality” and was “suppressing her true feelings about her”.<br>Testifying before the Bulford Military Court on Nov 11, Cdr Bagnall said, &#8216;Capt Crowson was &#8220;testing me for an affair&#8221; and would eye her up at work.&#8217;<br>&#8220;I felt she wanted a deeper connection, she was more friendly and was wearing civilian clothing more often. I felt she was interested in me and she wanted to go out,&#8221; Bagnall said.<br>Cdr Bagnall who is now on the HMS Nelson in Portsmouth has denied all charges of harassment.<br>The court martial was told Cdr Bagnall believed her boss was &#8220;testing her for an affair&#8221; and &#8220;kept going on about high risk sex&#8221;.<br>She said: &#8220;This is when I caught her looking me up. I was leaning against the computer, leg up by the chair with my back turned, and she was looking me up.&#8221;<br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Cdr Bagnall told the court on another occasion, Capt Crowson messaged about about a &#8220;date&#8221; at Costa and later said she had &#8220;feelings&#8221; for her.<br>The court heard Capt Crowson asked Cdr Bagnall &#8220;are you coming?&#8221; &#8211; with the judge asking her to clarify it was to be taken in its literal sense or in reference to having an orgasm.<br>The nurse replied: &#8220;She said it in a provocative manner, it was a double entendre. I thought she was coming on to me.&#8221;<br>She added: &#8220;She made me a coffee at work and she said &#8216;is this too milky for you?&#8217;<br>&#8220;With the look and the tone, I considered it sexual. It was the look and the tone that was important.&#8221;<br>Recalling another occasion, she added: &#8220;She looked at me and said &#8216;I need to charge my battery&#8217;. I thought she was talking about charging her battery for a sexual relationship.&#8221;<br>The trial continues.</p>
