Nylyn Eady made a lasting, positive impact upon the entire 16th Engineer Battalion and his loss is felt across our Brigade.<br>&#8216;He served his Nation with dignity and respect; we will honor his service and his memory.&#8217;<br>Eady, who went by the nickname &#8216;Slim Jim&#8217; on social media, would have celebrated his 20th birthday on January 30. <br>&#8216;I&#8217;ve found, in my experience, it&#8217;s rare to come across teenagers with a completely wholesome demeanor and purely innocent spirit,&#8217; wrote a friend on Facebook, &#8216;but that&#8217;s all I saw when I looked at and interacted with Nylyn Slim Jim Eady. It&#8217;s crushing to think that this young man is gone.&#8217; <br></p>
