<p class="wp-block-paragraph">An arguement over covid relief money led to Indianapolis quadruple murder. He has been accused of injuring his infant daughter&#8217;s mother, shooting dead four of her family members and then abducting his daughter after getting into a fight because he wanted half of a $1,400 stimulus check.<br>Police said Malik Halfacre, 25, opened fire inside the Indianapolis home of ;Jeanettrius Moore, who is the mother of his six-month-old daughter, on Saturday night. ;<br>The bereaved family identified the people shot dead as Jeanettrius’ 7-year-old daughter, Eve Moore, her brother, 23-year-old Daquan Moore, her mother, 44-year-old Tomeeka Brown, and her cousin, 35-year-old Anthony Johnson.<br>Moore was injured in the shooting but managed to escape and alert her neighbors. ; ;<br>Halfacre allegedly, then fled the scene with his daughter. ;<br>He was arrested on Sunday evening inside the attic of a different home about 4.5 miles from the shooting scene and his six-month-old daughter was found unharmed.<br>According to Moore&#8217;s family, the shooting was sparked by an argument over her $1,400 stimulus check. ;<br>They say Halfacre had come to the home a night earlier demanding half of Moore&#8217;s check.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8216;She said, &#8216;No, you don&#8217;t deserve any of this. I work. I take care of our child. You don&#8217;t do anything&#8217;,&#8217; Moore&#8217;s cousin ;Wendy Johnson told ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://fox59.com/news/crimetracker/family-stimulus-check-argument-led-to-indianapolis-quadruple-murder/">WXIN</a>. ;<br>Moore eventually said ;Halfacre could have $450 but he allegedly told her &#8216;I&#8217;m gonna get that money&#8217; before leaving.<br>Police said he returned to her home the following night and opened fire. ;<br>Authorities found ;Moore outside the home after being shot in the back. ;She directed police to the home and told them other victims were inside. ;Moore was taken to the hospital in critical condition. ;<br>Halfacre was being held on Monday on preliminary murder, attempted murder and other charges.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Deputy Chief Craig McCartt did not mention Halfacre by name during a Monday morning news conference but he said the suspect had gotten into an argument at the home before the shootings.<br>&#8216;There was an argument there that escalated to the point where he pulled out his weapon and started shooting everyone there in the home,&#8217; McCartt said.<br>He said the shooting suspect faces four preliminary counts of murder and one count each of attempted murder and robbery.<br>He noted, however, that the Marion County Prosecutor&#8217;s office had not yet filed formal charges. ; ; ;</p>
