<p>A popular Instagram model and social media influencer has been found dead in her apartment in what police believe to be a murder-suicide. <br>Janae Gagnier, better known by her social media handle “Miss Mercedes Morr” to her 2.6million <a href="https://twitter.com/MorrMiss">twitter</a> and <a href="https://www.instagram.com/official_missmercedesmorr/">Instagram</a> followers &#8211; was found dead in the Cortland Sugar Land apartments in Richmond, Texas, by police who were asked to carry out a wellness check. <br>The Fort Bend County Medical Examiner found she had been strangled to death, according to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.khou.com/article/news/crime/instagram-model-murder-suicide-texas/285-6c5aec1e-8f29-4428-bc7b-1fd2567945bf" target="_blank">KHOU 11</a>. <br>Police also found the body of 34-year-old Kevin Alexander Accorto, of Florida. <br>The medical examiner said he had killed himself with &#8216;multiple sharp force trauma&#8217;. <br>&#8216;It is not believed that there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim&#8217;, Richmond police said in a statement. </p>

<p>Authorities said there was no sign of forced entry at the apartment, and they are treating the deaths as a murder-suicide. Her sister London Gagnier claims that Janae was being stalked before her death. <br>London posted on Instagram, &#8216;She wasn&#8217;t robbed. It was just a stalker from outta state who&#8217;d BEEN stalking her.&#8217; Police have not commented on a possible motive, and said investigations are continuing. </p>

<p>Gagnier had more than 2.6million followers and was followed by many celebrities on Instagram including rappers Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, Meek Mill and more. <br>She was also a popular content creator on OnlyFans. <br>The rapper Bow Wow wrote on her Instagram, &#8216;Stop playing we just spoke on thurs don&#8217;t do me like this yo! Naaa.&#8217; Torey Lanez wrote on his Instagram story, &#8216;Rest in Peace Queen.&#8217; <br>In a second Instagram post, Janae&#8217;s sister London mourned her death, writing: &#8216;Yesterday was the worst day of my life .. my heart is gone. My soul is gone.&#8217; <br>London also revealed that her and her mom checked on Janae, who is also survived by her brother, last Thursday. <br>She said that she was having &#8216;an amazing time.&#8217; <br>Gagnier&#8217;s friend, who goes by HTownCiara on Instagram, said that &#8216;Mercedes did not have a sugar daddy or a pimp. Never did. She was not robbed. She did not have HIV. <br>She didn&#8217;t have COVID, she wasn&#8217;t in an accident. Yes she was murdered.&#8217; <br>&#8216;When the investigation is complete the family will release more details.&#8217; HTownCiara added, &#8216;It&#8217;s crazy that we have to even post this but y&#8217;all getting outta line with these crazy disrespectful ass stories.&#8217;</p>

<p>&#8216;It is not believed that there was a relationship between the suspect and the victim&#8217;, Richmond police said in a statement.<br>Cagnier&#8217;s neighbors responded on Monday to KPRC-TV about the murder.<br>&#8216;What I thought was safe it seems is not. We have so many rules and so many guidelines I would never expect someone to breach our security and someone be murdered on this property,&#8217; said Roderick Shaw.<br>&#8216;It&#8217;s safe over here, we have the gates the fence, you got to have a code to get in a code to get out, I&#8217;m just in shock,&#8217; said Edna Swist.</p>
