<p> A Tesla employee has been arrested on suspicion of murder after he argued with a co-worker and then allegedly shot him outside the company&#8217;s Fremont factory in Northern California. ; Records show Anthony Solima is being held on suspicion of murder and is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.<br>Solima, 29, armed himself with an untraceable &#8216;ghost gun&#8217; after &#8216;suddenly walking off&#8217; in the middle of his shift on Monday, police said. ; ;<br>He shot his co-worker in the parking lot shortly after the unidentified victim left the factory at the end of his shift, investigators said.<br>Detectives did not say what had caused the argument between Solima and his colleague. ; </p>

<p>Firefighters rushed to the parking lot in the 45000 block of Fremont Boulevard 3.26pm. <br>They found the victim unresponsive with at least one gunshot wound and immediately called the cops.<br>He was pronounced by paramedics a short time later. <br>Police began their investigation, recovering several spent .223-caliber rifle casings at the scene, police said.<br>&#8216;Within several hours, detectives developed leads on a potential suspect who also worked with the victim,&#8217; police said. Detectives tracked Solima to Milpitas and tailed him &#8216;until an opportunity presented itself to arrest [him] when he exited his vehicle.&#8217; <br>The victim hasn’t yet been publicly identified.<br>The suspect surrendered to cops who found a loaded, non-serialized, .223-caliber, short-barrel rifle in his car, along with expended casings. <br>Police confirmed to ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" target="_blank" href="https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2021-12-14/tesla-employee-arrested-in-fatal-shooting-outside-fremont-factory">The Los Angeles Times</a> ;that the weapon was a ghost gun. <br>These are typically made from 3-D printed plastic parts and can be assembled at home using kits.</p>

<p>They are not made by licensed manufacturers so they do not carry serial numbers, making them impossible to trace. ;<br>Experts have warned these homemade guns are increasingly being used in crimes. <br>More than 40 percent of guns seized in LA are ghost guns, according to federal firearms officials. <br>Solima, of Milpitas, is due to be arraigned on Thursday. <br>Fremont police are continuing their investigation into Monday’s shooting. </p>
