<p> Atlanta based rapper, Arthur &#8216;Archie&#8217; Eversole was found with a gunshot wound at a Chevron gas station just east of Atlanta on March 25, and died at a hospital April 3, DeKalb County police said. He was aged 37.<br>The Rapper best known for his hit record &#8216;We Ready&#8217;, was shot in the face and died before he could tell cops who killed him.<br>It is unclear how he got to the gas station from his bed or whether his home is nearby, but police say his brother, ;Alexander Krause, is the shooter. <br>According to Lt. Shane Smith from ;DeKalb County police, Kraus, 41, was arrested at a home near the gas station, initially on assault charges. <br>Those charges have now been upgraded to murder, Lt. Smith said. <br>Kraus who was also charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana, is being held without bail at Dekalb County jail. ; ;</p>

<p>Archie Eversole, who is known ;for the We Ready anthem used by Atlanta&#8217;s pro soccer team, ;was shot in the jaw as he was sleeping in the bedroom of his house and afterwards spoke to cops himself, while the killer was still in the house.<br>He told police someone kicked his door open and shot him in the face. ;However, Eversole lost consciousness before he could name his killer.<br>The police report said blood covered the front door and the stairs to Eversole&#8217;s room as well as his bed, pillows and walls, ;<a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.tmz.com/2022/04/21/we-ready-rapper-archie-eversole-shot-face-while-asleep/" target="_blank">TMZ</a> ;wrote. <br>According to the report, Krause initially told cops he was fine and just checking on his brother, although police did notice he had blood on his socks. He also told police a blister on his foot was causing him to limp.<br>Police have not revealed any ;motive for the shooting or the relationship between the brothers. ;</p>

<p> In February, just over a month before he was killed, the rapper shared a Twitter post written by comedian Lil Duval <br>&#8216;If you feel like your friends is supporting strangers more than they support you than, become a stranger,&#8217; the post read with the caption &#8216;#message&#8217;. <br>In another Instagram post shared just days before the shooting, the Archie wrote: &#8216;U can f*** up a whole bond by lying to someone U could&#8217;ve told the truth too,&#8217; along with with a grimacing face and shrug emojis.</p>

<p>Along the same theme, a month prior to the murder, Archie called out those who &#8216;f*** up a whole bond by lying&#8217; in a cryptic message, potentially aimed at Kraus. <br>The nature of the relationship between the two brothers remains under investigation.</p>

<p><br>Eversole was 17 when he recorded his debut album Ride Wit Me Dirty South Style that was released in 2002.<br>The gold-selling album featured his popular anthem We Ready that has become a popular hype song at sports stadiums and among athletes.<br>Eversole was chosen to create the theme song United We Conquer in 2018 for the Atlanta United team of the Major League Soccer. ;</p>

<p>The franchise said in a statement Thursday that it was &#8216;heartbroken&#8217; to learn about Eversole&#8217;s death.<br>&#8216;A staple in the Atlanta hip-hop scene, Archie adopted Atlanta United before our first season and continued to be one of our club&#8217;s most fervent supporters,&#8217; the team said.<br>&#8216;In addition to his decorated musical career, his voice will long live in our supporters&#8217; minds as We Ready billows through the speakers for kickoff at Atlanta United matches.&#8217; ;</p>

<p>The rapper was born Arthur Eversole, in July 1984 on a US military base in Germany, where both parents were stationed while his father was serving in the US Navy and his mother was a member of the US Army. <br>After returning to the US, Eversole was raised in the College Park section of Atlanta.<br><br></p>
