<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Former NFL player Kevin Ware Jr. who in July was charged with the murder of his ex-girlfriend Taylor Pomaski allegedly burned her body after killing her, according to court documents. <br>The 41-year-old retired pro-athlete has been transferred from Montgomery County to the Harris County in Houston where he will remain until his murder charge hearing scheduled for September 26, according to <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.click2houston.com/news/local/2022/09/07/former-nfl-player-kevin-ware-jr-charged-with-murder-tampering-with-evidence-in-connection-with-death-of-girlfriend-taylor-pomaski-da-says/" target="_blank">Click 2 Houston.</a> <br>Harris County District Attorney&#8217;s Office announced on July 28 that the former San Francisco 49ers and Washington Redskins tight-end was charged with murder and tampering with a corpse after killing 29-year-old Pomaski, his live-in girlfriend.<br>She was seen alive at a house party on April 26, 2021 in the Houston suburb of Spring, Texas. Her remains were found in December in northern Harris County, but she was not identified until April 29, 2022.<br></p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Newly released court documents cited now claim that Ware killed Pomaski before burning her dead body and then burying what was left of her. <br>Ware who was out on bail for an unrelated offence at the time of the murder, is facing a minimum of 15 years to life in prison if he is found guilty as charged. <br>&#8216;We appreciate everyone who has come forward to provide evidence and aid in our investigation&#8230; The court process is just beginning, and we encourage anyone who has knowledge about what happened between Kevin and Taylor to come forward,&#8217; Lacy Johnson, the lead prosecutor said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Authorities suspected foul play in Pomaski&#8217;s disappearance soon after she went missing, with prosecutors identifying Ware as a suspect in June 2021. <br>The former NFL tight-end is believed to be one of the last people to interact with Pomaski before she disappeared from a party at the home the 2004, was out on bond on an unrelated charge at the time.<br>Eric Zulegar, a friend and former boyfriend of Pomaski&#8217;s, said he had been in communication with her in the weeks leading up to her disappearance.<br>He said: &#8216;She was in danger, she was in trouble. There was violence, she referenced a gun being pulled on her. She was very scared, very nervous.&#8217; <br>The couple, who had been dating for a year, had reportedly been fighting at the house party, that reportedly turned violent, before her disappearance in April. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Ware, who has a criminal record dating back to 2007, was arrested by US Marshals in June after he failed to appear for supervision.<br>He had been arrested and charged about a week before Pomaski&#8217;s disappearance after he was allegedly found with both weapons and drugs.<br>During his June arrest, Ware had been involved in a high-speed car chase which reportedly hit more than 115 mph. Furthermore officers reportedly, found cocaine, methamphetamine, and a loaded AK-47 in his possession.</p>
