<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A 24-year-old Harlem man has been charged with murder six weeks after his girlfriend’s dismembered body was found stuffed into two suitcases in her Brooklyn home, NYPD said Monday. <br>Justin Williams is accused of brutally murdering his girlfriend and dismembering her body in Brooklyn six weeks ago. Williams was charged Monday with murder and concealment of a human corpse in the slaying of 22-year-old D’Asia Johnson, in September.<br>Johnson’s life came to a horrific end after months of beatings and broken bones she suffered at the hands of Williams, as earlier revealed by neighbors. <br>Police conducting a wellness check found Johnson’s decomposing remains in her blood-splattered bathroom on Linwood St. near Atlantic Ave. in Cypress Hills on Sept. 21. Her dismembered body was found jammed into two suitcases, next to a meat cleaver. <br>She died of multiple stab wounds to her torso, an autopsy later revealed.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">After two months of investigation, police arrested and charged Johnson’s boyfriend 24-year-old Justin Williams of West 116 Street in Harlem, New York.<br>“This defendant is accused of the horrific murder and dismemberment of his former girlfriend,” Brooklyn District Attorney said Monday.<br>“I hope that this prosecution brings some measure of solace to D’Asia’s family and friends.”<br>Johnson’s boyfriend would routinely beat her in the hallway, the woman’s friend and neighbor said.<br>“He broke her ribs, her legs, a couple months ago,” Stephanie Harris said after the grisly find. <br>“She came back, she was on crutches. And he broke her apartment down, broke the TVs in her apartment. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">Police arrested Williams on Oct. 1 on an unrelated assault, grand larceny and bail jumping case n Nassau County, he’s been locked up since that arrest,.<br>Nassau County Assistant District Attorney Brittany Gurrieri revealed in court that Williams was a person of interest in Johnson’s slaying.<br>Furthermore it was revealed at his appearance in Nassau court that Williams had another girlfriend, who was using Johnson’s benefits card after her death.</p>
