<p>An Australian father considered one of the world&#8217;s worst pedophiles has received a mammoth jail sentence for raping toddlers alongside his depraved Filipina girlfriend as part of a horrific, depraved child sex abuse ring. <br>Peter Gerard Scully, 59, was sentenced to 129 years in jail before a court in Cagayan de Oro in southern Philippines on November 3. <br>Scully&#8217;s &#8216;girlfriend&#8217;, former prostitute Liezyl &#8216;Lovely&#8217; Margallo Castana received 126 years in jail for her crimes. <p>He was already facing life behind bars after being convicted in 2018 on one count of human trafficking and five counts of rape by sexual assault.<br>Margallo, 28, joined the father-of-two from Melbourne in his crimes after he hired her as a prostitute. <br>She lived a life of luxury, buying designer labels and taking expensive trips using the money Scully made from selling vile child pornography. <br>Scully sold videos of his disgusting crimes for up to $10,000 to American, German and Brazilian men on the Dark Web.<br>One victim was a child whose body was found buried under the floorboards of a house rented by Scully in Surigao.</p>

<p>The November 3 ruling was for the second batch of cases filed against Scully and Margallo.<br>The first conviction of Scully and his then live-in girlfriend, Carme Ann Alvarez, came in 2018, when the pair were sentenced to life imprisonment. <br>Alvarez was believed to have become Scully&#8217;s girlfriend when she was a 14-year-old prostitute. <br>She offered food and shelter to young girls whom Scully raped and tortured and made to wear dog collars and chains. <br>Alvarez eventually led Filipino police to an apartment where an 11-year-old was buried.<br>She and Scully both received life sentences in 2018.</p>

<p>That year it was also revealed $500,000 of Australian taxpayers&#8217; money was spent defending Scully since 2015.<br>The legal aid was funded through a government controlled support scheme for Australians abroad facing prosecution.<br>Known as the Serious Overseas Criminal Matters Scheme, the support system aims to assist defendants who could be sentenced to the death penalty or jail terms of more than 20 years.<br>Scully&#8217;s sickening crimes went undetected until two victims, cousins Queenie and Daisy, aged 9 and 12, escaped from his home.<br>With the help of Australian Federal Police, Philippines authorities arrested Scully in 2015 in Malaybalay, after he fled Australian fraud charges in 2011.<br>In the Philippines Scully set up debauched cybersex businesses, filming teenage girls and children from poor families having sex or being forced to.<br>One such film, titled Daisy&#8217;s Destruction, caused prosecutors to break down in tears after they discovered it.<br>The video was alleged to show a baby girl being tied upside down by her feet, sexually assaulted and bashed repeatedly.</p>

<p>Scully&#8217;s girlfriend Liezyl Margallo Castana was a prostitute who was so involved in his crimes that she was sentenced to 126 years in jail. <br>Margallo, who was initially released by police due to lack of evidence, was later found to have featured in the video abusing an 18 month old child.<br>&#8216;If I were to describe her, I would call her a savage girl for what she has done to the kids. I think that description fits her,&#8217; investigator Dominador Cimafranca told media in 2017.<br>The little girl was aged around 18-months in the video and although she survived, is deeply traumatized by the ordeal.<br>Two other accomplices received sentenced of nine years each. <br>The Philippines is considered a global hotspot for child sex exploitation.</p>
