<p>A 61-year-old man was ;stabbed to death inside his Brooklyn apartment Thursday during what cops initially said was a home invasion, but may actually have been a murder committed by his own daughter, <a href="https://nypost.com/2022/12/29/man-dead-another-two-women-stabbed-in-fatal-home-invasion-in-brooklyn/">sources said</a>.<br>Carlo Secondino’s ;22-year-old trans daughter is believed to have concocted the tall tale about a break-in at the family’s Bensonhurst home in order to cover her tracks.<br>Police initially said ;two robbers broke into the family’s home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street around 6 a.m. and ;demanded ;money from a safe before killing the dad and injuring both of his daughters. ;<br>The younger sister, 19, ;was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, where she was in critical condition, while the ;father ;died at the scene, according to police.<br>The older sister was taken to Langone Hospital. The 22-year-old transwoman who allegedly cooked up the story about the robbers, according to sources, has not been charged.</p>

<p>Law enforcement were told homeowner, Carlo Secondino was fatally stabbed several times by two male robbers, who were said to be dressed in all black and wearing masks, on Thursday morning.<br>The robbers allegedly broke into their home on 17th Avenue near 82nd Street in Bensonhurst around 6am, demanding they give them money from a safe, police said. However, the family did not own a safe. ;<br>Secondino&#8217;s two daughters, 19 and 22, were also injured.<br>The younger girl was pierced multiple times throughout her body while the 22-year-old had minor stab wounds to her hands. <br>The 19-year-old was transported to Maimonides Medical Center in critical condition, while the 22-year-old was taken to NYU Langone Hospital and is expected to survive.<br>Their father was pronounced dead at the scene by staff from the office of the medical examiner.</p>

<p>Neighbors said the family has lived there for more than 10 years and &#8216;kept to themselves,&#8217; according to CBS News. ;<br>The 19-year-old girl&#8217;s birthday is reportedly Saturday, as well, according to the <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/nyc-crime/ny-fatal-brooklyn-home-invasion-stabbing-20221229-6kkulgx7czc4vmdo6jyav3ziqe-story.html" target="_blank">New York Daily News</a>. ; ;<br>Police are investigating the incident and looking to see if it is connected to a family dispute, <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://abc7ny.com/stabbing-home-invasion-bensonhurst-death/12627264/" target="_blank">ABC 7</a> ;reported. ;<br>There was no signs of forced entry on the blood-stained entrance, according to the New York Daily News. ; ;No arrests have been made.<br>Police were called to the family’s home several times this ;year for reports of domestic violence, according to sources, including ;one incident of July 15 in which the dad was accused of threatening to kill his younger daughter and ;another incident on Sept. 19 where he allegedly slapped the 22-year-old.<br>In a third incident, which occurred on July 14, Secondino&#8217;s younger daughter was charged with assault and criminal mischief after ripping off their apartment’s window blinds during a dispute with her older sibling, according to police sources.</p>

<p>Secondino was deliveryman for a local diner and a one-time worker at a neighborhood restaurant. One of the wounded daughters was a college student, according to neighbors.<br>The older daughter is transgender. Her father was supportive, his employer said. ;<br>He nevertheless seemed distracted by “family issues” that he was reluctant to discuss, according to Yadira Gomez, who co-owns Mike’s Diner where Secondino worked as a deliveryman.<br>“I know that there was always fights. He was always working here all day, but during the day he would always say she’s crazy, she’s got some issues, problems, she doesn’t want to work,” Gomez told The Post on Thursday.<br>“She was fighting him yesterday and he told the other girl, ‘Go to your friend’s house. Don’t stay here,’ because he was worried.”<br>Secondino’s Facebook page includes several photos and posts where he expresses love for both of his daughters. <br>“These girls were abandoned by their mom when they were little, so he was the only one there as a mother figure and father figure,” Gomez said. ;“Everybody loved that guy here. It’s a big loss for everybody. He would work. He never said no to nothing, helped everybody.”<br></p>
