<p>Authorities in Florida investigating the murder of a Microsoft executive last year have arrested his ex-wife&#8217;s new husband in connection with his death, the Jacksonville police department announced.. <br>Jared Bridegan, 33, <a href="https://konniemoments.com/2022/06/14/shanna-fernandez-spied-on-ex-jared-bridegan-during-acrimonious-divorce-cops-reveal-ex-wife-of-microsoft-exec-who-was-ambushed-and-killed-in-front-of-his-toddler-in-suburban-florida-hires-top/">was gunned down</a> in the middle of the road on February 16, 2022, in front of his baby daughter. <br>Today, police announced the arrest of Mario Fernandez Saldana, the new husband of Bridegan&#8217;s ex-wife, Shanna. The suspect was arrested this morning in Kissimmee, after hitman, Henry Tenon, turned on him and agreed to testify against him. <br>Tenon, who was living in a property that was owned by Saldana, was arrested in January. </p>

<p>Prosecutors have not yet confirmed the motive for the murder, but Shanna and Jared were sharing custody of their two children at the time. Gardner-Fernandez divorced Bridegan in 2015, after she reportedly had an affair.<br>The former couple were subsequently embroiled in years-long legal battles over finances and custody of their now-10-year-old twins, Liam and Abigail.<br>The Microsoft executive was found 2.2miles from Shanna&#8217;s home after dropping off the kids on February 16, on a quiet patch of road where there were no security cameras.<br>The 33-year-old father of four had noticed a tire in the road and pulled over to remove it when he was gunned down in what police called a planned ambush. <br>Little Bexley was in the backseat and alone in the car for a few minutes until a passerby noticed her father dead on the road and called 911.<br>Saldana’s arrest happened just a few hours after his former tenant and occasional handyman Henry Tenon pled guilty to second-degree murder charges in the killing, First Coast News said.</p>

<p>Police <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/01/25/jared-bridegan-murder-cops-annouce-arrest/">announced in January</a> that they had arrested Henry Tenon, 61, for the slaying.<br>At the time of the grisly crime, Tenon was reportedly living in a Jacksonville home owned by Mario Fernandez, the current husband of the victim&#8217;s ex-wife Shanna Gardner-Fernandez. <br>Tenon&#8217;s charges included one for &#8216;conspiracy&#8217; because, Jacksonville police did not believe he acted alone. Investigators pointed to how the attack seemed to be both targeted and personal.</p>

<p>Police announced Saldana&#8217;s arrest at a press conference where Jared&#8217;s widow Kirsten took to the podium.<br>&#8216;We are here today feeling many emotions.<br>&#8216;We have great relief knowing that two of the people behind my husband&#8217;s murder are now behind bars and are no longer a threat to my family.<br>&#8216;We are also still angry. Angry that they were walking free while we were grappling with the reality that Jared wouldn&#8217;t be here for any future memories, vacations, tender moments.<br>&#8216;Angry that our youngest, who was six months at the time of his death, will have no memories of her father.<br>&#8216;Angry that there will be no new memories for Liam, Abi, Bexley, London, or anyone who knew and loved Jared.&#8217;<br>She also hinted at more arrests.<br>&#8216;We know there is still a long way to go before all those involved will truly be held accountable.&#8217;<br>Shanna, the ex-wife, has not been arrested.<br>&#8216;We have fought hard for the truth and the world now knows what we have known all along; that Jared truly was an innocent victim.</p>

<p>&#8216;Since day one, those in charge of the investigation promised us that they would be relentless in their pursuit of justice and they have been,&#8217; she added. <br>Police have not yet indicated whether they intend to make any additional arrests. </p>
