<p>Police in Allen, Texas, released body camera video Wednesday, showing one of its officers kindly reminding children to buckle seat belts moments before sprinting after, and killing mass shooter.</p>

<p>The just released bodycam footage shows a police officer grab an assault rifle and run towards a mall in Allen, Texas, as a gunman, later identified as Mauricio Garcia, unleashed a barrage of bullets on shoppers. <br>Garcia, 33, killed eight people including children on May 6, outside H&;M in Allen Premium Outlets in Allen, Texas, before he was shot dead at the scene by one of the responding officers. <br>Horrifying clips now reveal how the first police officer on the scene screamed at onlookers and raced towards the danger in a bid to neutralize the situation.</p>

<p>Multiple deafening gunshots, fired by Garcia at innocent families and children, can be heard in the background while sirens from first responders can be heard from afar. <br>The officer who was wearing the recording bodycam rushes over to the scene, and starts firing bullets at the gunman from behind a pillar. Bullet casings from his gun can be seen flying on to the ground while he receives information from backup teams.</p>

<p>Realizing he had the shooter down, the officer is heard talking into his radio: &#8216;Shots fired by police. I&#8217;ve got him down.&#8217;<br>The cop then screams into the direction of Garcia: &#8216;Drop the gun!&#8217;<br>He then repeats: &#8216;I got him down&#8217; before shouting out loud: &#8216;Get away from there! Get away!&#8217;<br>The officer continues to run towards Garcia &#8211; who by this point is on the ground &#8211; as the officer continues to shout directions through his radio.</p>

<p>Allen Police Chief Brian Harvey, commenting on the new footage that was released over a month after the incident, said: &#8216;This video shows how quickly a routine interaction with the public turned into a life-and-death situation.<br>&#8216;The officer recognized the danger, ran toward the gunfire and neutralized the threat – and for his actions, the Allen community is forever grateful.&#8217; </p>

<p>People in the store were frantically ushered into lockable rooms, and when they eventually got the all-clear to come out, they saw the broken windows, trails of blood by the door, and bloodied bodies covered in sheets.<br>Dashcam video showed gunman Mauricio Garcia getting out of a car and shooting at people on the sidewalk on Saturday afternoon. More than three dozen shots could be heard as the vehicle that was recording the video drove off.<br>The gunman was using an AR-15-style gun during the mass shooting, and was dressed in full tactical SWAT gear.<br>Allen Fire Chief Jonathan Boyd confirmed that seven people died at the scene, including the gunman, and then a further two victims died in hospital. Fourth-grader <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12061101/PICTURED-Two-elementary-school-aged-sisters-killed-neo-Nazi-Texas-outlet-mall-shooting.html">Daniela Mendoza and second-grader Sofia Mendoza</a> were both shot dead following the rampage in Allan, Texas. <br>The Korean Consulate in Dallas confirmed that Kyu Cho, 37, and Cindy Kang, 35 were both killed in the massacre, <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12058807/Second-victim-Texas-mall-massacre-identified-alongside-20-year-old-security-guard.html">along with their three-year-old son James. </a><br>Engineer Aishwarya Thatikonda, 27, and Christian LaCour, 20, who worked as a security guard at the mall, <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12060619/PICTURED-Mom-dad-son-3-killed-gun-massacre-Texas-outlet-mall.html">were also killed in the massacre. </a><br>The final victim was confirmed as Elio Cumana-Rivas, 32, from Dallas. </p>
