<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A drug-dealing dad with an extensive criminal history has been indicted for killing his teenager daughter then trying to blame her death on his autistic stepson.<br>Kenneth Paul Farler III, 38, was indicted by an Ohio grand jury on Monday in connection to the fatal shooting of his 15-year-old daughter on April 14.<br>Dayton police were called to the 400 block of Bowen Street around 12 p.m. where they found Kendra Farler with a shotgun wound to the chest.<br>The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene. Farler and his wife, Jennifer Slorp, both told police his 15-year-old autistic, non-verbal stepson had accidentally shot Kendra. The couple shared 5 children in their blended family. Slorp is not Kendra&#8217;s mother. Kenneth Farler shared his teen daughter with his deceased late wife.</p>

A completely innocent 15‐year‐old girl has lost her life at the hands of her father,&#8217; Montgomery County Prosecutor Mat Heck said.<br>&#8216;This defendant was on probation at the time of the shooting, having been convicted of trafficking in cocaine less than a month ago. He has been arrested approximately 40 times over the past 20 years and has previously been sentenced to the penitentiary.&#8217;<br>Farler was indicted on multiple counts including involuntary manslaughter, reckless homicide, endangering children and having weapons while under disability. <br>He is being held at the Montgomery County Jail and is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday. </p>

I don&#8217;t know how I could paint the picture for you, but you have a father living in a boarding house which is very small, actually in a room, where this murder occurred, along with three other children and the mother,&#8217; Major Brian Johns of Dayton PD said at a press conference. <br>Johns said both the father and Kendra&#8217;s stepmother told police she had been shot by the sibling, but those statements proved to be false.<br>&#8216;We have great investigators here at Dayton Police Department, and they knew right away that those stories weren&#8217;t consistent. And upon further questioning, got an admission to the crime,&#8217; said Johns.</p>
