<p>An alleged double killer has been remanded in custody after he appeared in court on Monday accused of killing two men he lived with and dumping their remains in suitcases on Clifton Suspension Bridge.<br>Yostin Andres Mosquera, 34, has been charged with the murders of 62-year-old French national Albert Alfonso, 62, and his British ex-partner, 71-year-old Paul Longworth.<br>Detectives made the grisly discovery on Wednesday after two suitcases were left on a bridge in Bristol before further remains were found at the victims&#8217; flat in Scotts Road, west London, on Friday. <br>Their tenant Mosquera, a Colombian national, appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates Court wearing a grey tracksuit with tidy black hair and a beard.</p>

<p>The defendant, assisted by a Spanish interpreter, spoke only to confirm his name, address and date of birth in a short hearing.<br>Cristiana Ruez, chairing a bench of three magistrates, remanded Mosquera in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Wednesday.<br>Ruez told the defendant: &#8216;You are remanded in custody as this court has no powers to consider bail.<br>&#8216;Your next hearing will be on Wednesday July 17 at 10am at the Central Criminal Court.&#8217;<br>Police officers were alerted to a man acting suspiciously on the bridge last Wednesday and attended to find the two suitcases stuffed with human body parts.</p>

<p>Mosquera was arrested in Bristol in the early hours of Saturday, July 13. He was charged on Monday morning and brought to court from Wandsworth Police Station. <br>The two victims were previously in a relationship but still lived together. Mosquera had been staying with the two men for a short time. <br>Police said the victims were killed between July 8 and 10.<br>Prosecutor Jack Williams said: &#8216;There&#8217;s not very much that can be done in the magistrates&#8217; court with a murder case. All that needs to be done really is to list the bail application in the Central Criminal Court.&#8217;</p>

<p>&#8216;My thoughts are first and foremost with Albert and Paul&#8217;s loved ones who are coming to terms with this terrible news,&#8217; Deputy Assistant Commissioner of the Met Andy Valentine said: <br>&#8216;While we do not believe either of them had any close family, we have identified other next of kin who have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. We are continuing to try and identify any extended family members.<br>&#8216;I know that this awful incident will cause concern not just among residents in Shepherds Bush but in the wider LGBTQ+ community across London,&#8217; Valentine said.</p>

<p>The gruesome discovery began unfolded around At 11.57pm on Wednesday, July 10.<br>Avon and Somerset Police receive reports of a man acting suspiciously, who allegedly dumped a suitcase on Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol. <br>When officers arrived but the suspect, who had traveled there by taxi, had already gone, leaving one suitcase behind. Within 10 minutes of arrival responding officers found a second suitcase nearby.<br>Within 24 hours Met police confirmed human remains found in suitcases, were two adult males, released CCTV image of a person of interest and launched a manhunt.</p>

<p>Cops searching an apartment in Shepherd&#8217;s Bush, west London on Friday found more human remains. They arrested a 36-year-old man who was later released without charge.<br>On Saturday Met Police arrested Yostin Andres Mosquera at Bristol Temple Meads Station.
