<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The mass shooter who killed two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School, in Winder, Georgia, on Wednesday morning has been named as teenager Colt Gray.<br>Four fatalities have been recorded so far while, nine victims were taken to hospitals with gunshot injuries, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The death roll includes two students and two teachers.<br>The first fatality of Wednesday tragic Apalachee High School shooting has been identified as a special education math teacher, David Phenix.<br>Phenix, 44, initially survived the attack but was rushed to hospital after he was shot in the hip and foot, shattering his hip bone in the process.</p>

Schermerhorn was autistic. <br>Family members had circulated photos of him on social media when they couldn’t contact him after the shooting.<br>The shooting was reported at 10.23 am at the high school of home to around 1,900 students, about 25 miles west of Athens.<br>The alleged shooter, Colt Gray, a 14-year-old student at the school, surrendered to police when he was apprehended. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The suspected gunman, Colt Gray, surrendered immediately after a school resource officer rushed in and confronted him, minutes after the first shots were fired around 10:20 am.<br>Heartbreaking videos showed frantic students rushing to the school&#8217;s football field, while others huddled around ambulances as people flooded out of the building.<br>Emergency services flooded the scene in Georgia following the active shooting call &#8211; with medical helicopters seen flying injured victims to Grady Memorial Hospital. One person is in custody, officials confirmed after midday.<br>The Georgia high school reportedly, received a phone threat on Wednesday before the shooting happened, according to CNN.<br>The caller reportedly claimed there would be shootings at give schools and that Apalachee would be the first to be attacked. Officials are investigating the origin of the call.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Horrific details from inside classrooms have emerged of the chilling chaos students endured as yet a another deadly incident of mass shooting in a school in the country. <br>Sergio Caldera, 17, told ABC: that he was in his senior chemistry class when he heard gunshots.<br>&#8216;My teacher goes and opens the door to see what&#8217;s going on. <br>&#8216;Another teacher comes running in and tells her to close the door because there&#8217;s an active shooter.&#8217; <br>Caldera said, recounting his class hearing chilling screams from outside as they &#8216;huddled up,&#8217; inside.<br>One 15-year-old student said his teacher also locked the door immediately and his classmates ducked down into a lockdown position when the gunfire broke out on Wednesday morning.<br>According to another student Melanie, a &#8216;code red&#8217; announcement, along with a red flashing light, started going off in her classroom.</p>
