<p>This is Bryan Kohberger’s signed confession for the murders of four Idaho college students in 2022, without offering a the motivation behind his slaughter four young students in their sleep, during a home invasion. <br>The document includes his admission that he broke into the off-campus house in Moscow, Idaho, on Nov. 13, 2022. He also admits to murdering “with premeditation and with malice aforethought” Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20.<br>In messy handwriting, Kohberger crossed out the month of his confession, June, and substituted with the date of July 1.<br>Summarizing the context of the defense submission, the judge questioned the defendant: &#8220;Did you on November 13, 2022, enter the residence at 1122 King Road with the intent to commit the felony crime of murder?&#8221;<br>The response was &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<br>The judge goes further to ask: &#8220;Did you do that willfully, unlawfully, deliberately and with premeditation and malice aforethought?&#8221;<br>Again the defendant responded: &#8220;Yes&#8221;.<br>With this confession, the former Washington University criminal justice doctoral candidate admitted to killing Madison Mogen, 21, Kaylee Goncalves, 21, Xana Kernodle, 20, and Ethan Chapin, 20, all students of the University of Idaho, who were found murdered in their off campus accommodation in Moscow, Idaho on November 13, 2022 </p>

<p>The confession was signed on July 1, a day before the Boise court hearing where he admitted to the murders.<br>Kohberger, at the time a doctorate student at Washington State University 10 miles away, with no apparent connection to the victims, accepted guilt, but added nothing else.<br>Kohberger also admits to murdering “with premeditation and with malice aforethought” Madison Mogen, Kaylee Goncalves, Xana Kernodle, and Ethan Chapin.<br>The victims each suffered multiple stab wounds from a large knife, believed to be the Ka-Bar that came from a leather sheath found next to Madison Mogen&#8217;s body. While the knife has not been recovered, police found Kohberger&#8217;s DNA on a snap on the sheath.</p>

<p>Kohberger will spend the remainder of his natural life behind bars as per his plea arrengement. <br>He is expected to receive four consecutive terms of life in prison without the possibility of parole, plus another 10 years.<br>However, this plea spared him having to facing a lengthy trial that could have revealed his actual motives. It also spared him having to face possible execution by firing squad. <br>While Mogen and Chapin&#8217;s parents have voiced support for the plea deal, others not so. <br>Expressing their consternation at the verdict, several members of some victims&#8217; families who condemned the deal, urged the prosecution to insist that Kohberger goes to trial with the potential of his facing capital punishment.</p>
