<p>Rapper Montero Lamar Hill, aka Lil Nas X, has been charged with four felonies, including assaulting police officers, after his public naked meltdown in the early hours of last week Thursday.<br>The Old Town Road artist Nas X was arrested by LAPD<a class="" href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/los-angeles/index.html"> </a>officers early August 21, when he was caught by cameras roaming the streets of Los Angeles in his underwear, shouting song lyrics and making hand gestures as cars passed by before &#8216;charging&#8217; at police officers confronting him.</p>

<p>The 26-year-old artist was seen walking down Ventura Blvd in a pair of white western boots and a pair of tighty whities, but was later completely nude when he was taken into custody.<br>Lil Nas X initially was charged with misdemeanor battery on a police officer. According to the LAPD Lil Nas X threw punches at the officers, which prompted a use of force by the police, forcing him to the ground &#8211;<br>He was later transported to the hospital for a possible drug overdose before being returned to custody. <br>In the felony complaint, Nas has been charged with three separate counts of battery with injury on a peace officer, referring to three alleged assaults on separate police officers. </p>

<p>He was also hit with a felony charge of resisting an executive officer, the rapper could face 12 years in prison if convicted of the alleged offenses.<br>Per the California penal code, a felony battery charge on a peace officer is punishable by up to three years in jail.<br>A felony charge of resisting an executive officer carries a maximum penalty of three years in California state prison and/or a fine of up to $10,000. <br> Making his appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday with his attorney Christy O&#8217;Connor, a sober looking Nas pled not guilty to the charges. The judge set his bail at $75,000.</p>

<p>Shocking video of the incident saw the Grammy winner apparently realizing someone was recording his actions and turned towards them offering a full frontal view and singing.<br>As seen in the <a href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/08/22/lil-nas-x-hotel-footage-before-arrest/">video</a>, Hill began his downhill slide at the Short Stories Hotel, where security cameras showed him roaming the grounds in a pair of jeans, a button up shirt and a cowboy hat. <br>Somewhere along the way, he ditched the shirt and jeans and was spotted strolling along Ventura Blvd in just his undies and boots.</p>

<p>He was seen putting an orange traffic cone on his head, allegedly telling a bystander he was headed to a party.<br>On Saturday, law enforcement sources <a class="" href="https://www.tmz.com/2025/08/23/lil-nas-x-on-best-behavior-in-jail-following-arrest/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">revealed</a> that the rapper&#8217;s behavior since he was jailed has not had any behavioral issues with since he was taken to jail, and has been keeping a low profile.<br>On Wednesday, a day before the meltdown , the musician posted a slew of content to his Instagram account, seemingly taken at his home.</p>

NOW!&#8217; he captioned the post. <br>He also captioned a selfie of himself wearing a fur coat with a tiara-adorned cowboy hat: &#8216;OH NO sHES GONE MAD! CRAZY I TELL U!&#8217; <br>Fans were quick to post their support for the artist following this latest revelation.<br>&#8216;Your music has helped me come to terms with my queer identity and helped me walk away from people who claimed to be my friends, but never really heard me. I wish you healing. Please be okay.
