<p class="wp-block-paragraph">A New Jersey father prosecutors shot another man, then enlisted his wife and son to chop up the victim’s body with a chainsaw.<br>Everton Thomas, 41, his wife Sherrie Parker, 41 as well as their son Deshawn Thomas, 22, all face charges for their part in the murder and dismemberment of Harold Miller, 48, of Deptford, according to a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/camdencountypros/posts/pfbid0BjafyePTc38m2FDZHp2PkXaots6biZmFqGbtb5KPYErVc9xmSVvQ6w2X8TFeoT8Ll" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">release</a> from the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office.<br>Miller was playing cards at a friend’s house in Camden in the early morning hours on June 12. <p class="wp-block-paragraph">It’s unclear how or if Miller knew the Thomas family and why he went into the home.<br>Surveillance footage from outside the Baird Boulevard home showed Miller enter the residence at around 11:30 am, shortly before a gunshot rang out from inside the building, prosecutors said. <br>After the alleged shooting, Parker and Deshawn Thomas purchased a chainsaw, containers, trash bags, and other cleaning supplies, according to the release.<br>Miller was reported missing on June 14. That same day Miller&#8217;s empty vehicle was found in Pennsauken.<br>During the investigation, detectives said they uncovered surveillance video and cell phone data that showed Miller had entered a residence in the 2600 block of Baird Boulevard, shortly before 11:30 a.m. on June 12.<br>Miller never emerged from the home and not been seen since. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Additional surveillance video showed Everton and his son hauling heavily loaded trash bags to dumpsters at Tamarack Apartments in Camden, the prosecutor’s office said.<br>conducting a search of the Thomas residence on June 20, Camden police not only observed bloodstains, they also discovered the older Thomas was in possession of a loaded gun. According to police, later testing showed that the bloodstains found at the Thomas home matched Miller&#8217;s DNA.<br>The following day, Everton Thomas attempted to flee to Canada despite not being charged at the time. <br>He was arrested on Monday, September 8, at the Port of Buffalo after crossing the border on a commercial bus. <br>By September 8 all three members of the family were in custody. They had been charged in relation to Miller’s murder on September 5.<br>Although Miller’s body has not been found, Everton Thomas was charged with first-degree murder, second-degree desecration of human remains, and tampering with physical evidence in the fourth degree.<br>Parker and Deshawn Thomas are each charged with second-degree desecration of human remains and fourth-degree tampering with physical evidence, prosecutors said.<br></p>
