<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rock star Ann Everton has been killed in a car crash on the way to the first gig of her band&#8217;s US and Canada tour. <br>Darsombra band member Everton, 43, died in a multi-car collision in upstate New York, relatives have confirmed. <br>Everton and her band mate Brian Daniloski, who is also her husband, were en route to Montreal, on Interstate 87 when the crash unfolded on October 3. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">It is not known what caused the crash. New York State Police said the duo&#8217;s van crashed into a trooper&#8217;s cruiser while an officer was conducting a traffic stop with their blue lights on. <br>Everton was pronounced dead at the scene, while the trooper and Daniloski were treated for injuries in hospital.<br>Her brother-in-law, Jon Garrett, remembered the Maryland-based musician as &#8216;an incredibly warm and generous soul&#8217; and a &#8216;true artist&#8217;. <br>&#8216;She devoted her life to creativity in all its forms—through her visual and video projects, and through music as one half of Darsombra with her beloved husband, Brian Daniloski,&#8217; Garrett wrote on Instagram. <br>&#8216;Together, they built a beautiful life, touring the world to share their art and nurturing a vibrant community of independent artists in their hometown of Baltimore.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">&#8216;Ann was truly one of a kind, and she will be deeply missed.&#8217;<br>Garrett added that Daniloski also suffered &#8216;severe injuries&#8217; in the crash and that his relatives have launched a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/f/stand-with-brian-in-memory-of-ann">fundraising page</a> to support him. <br>&#8216;We know Ann would have wanted nothing more than to ensure Brian is cared for during this difficult time, and we are deeply grateful for any donations,&#8217; he said. <br>The fundraising page said their vehicle had been written off by the accident. <br>&#8216;The van has been totaled, and a significant amount of money has been lost,&#8217; the page reads. <br>&#8216;This GoFundMe is a small way that we can support Brian and help him get back on his feet during this extremely trying time. <br>&#8216;Brian and Ann&#8217;s pure love for each other should serve as an inspiration to us all to stand with, and for, the ones who mean so much to us.&#8217;<br>Mourners had donated more than $45,000 via the page as of Tuesday afternoon. </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Darsombra is a trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock duo from Baltimore, Maryland, according to the band website. Formed in 2025, the band has performed in 48 states and 25 countries worldwide since their inception.<br>The band were en route to their first concert in Montreal, scheduled for the evening of October 3. <br>They were also scheduled to play in several more Canadian cities including Ottawa and Toronto before commencing on the US leg of the tour kicking off in Marquette, Michigan. </p>
