labeled &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Person 1&comma;” the latter of whom was allegedly assigned to carry out the attack along with Ali&comma; while the rest of the group made their way to join ISIS in Syria&period;<br>Investigators surveilled the men for weeks and tracked their phone movements&comma; eventually following them to Ferndale&comma; north of Detroit known for its bars and restaurants&comma; many of which &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;intentionally attract members of the LGBTQ&plus; community&comma;” the complaint reads&period;<br>According to the complaint&comma; before they could strike&period;<br>The task force recovered three AR-15-style rifles&comma; two shotguns&comma; four pistols and more than 1&comma;600 rounds of ammunition&comma; as well as GoPro cameras&comma; tactical vests&comma; two tactical backpacks&comma; 24 empty magazines and chest-rig vests when they searched Mahmoud and Ali&&num;8217&semi;s homes and storage unit&period;<br>Investigators also found incriminating information when they searched the co-conspirator’s phones&comma; including Google searches of &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;ISIS” and the &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Islamic State&period;”<br>Ali and Mahmoud appeared in federal court November 3&comma; each charged with a single count of transferring weapons and ammo for terrorism&period; <br>They duo who face up to 15 years in prison if convicted&comma; were ordered held pending a Nov&period; 10 detention hearing&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;
