<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Rob and Michele Reiner were found fatally stabbed in the master bedroom of their home, a police official said. Three days later, the late couple&#8217;s younger son, Nick Reiner, appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court to face multiple murder charges.<br>The 32-year-old suspect appeared briefly in court on the morning of Wednesday, Dec. 17, a day after he was charged with two counts of First-degree murder for the heinous slaughtering of his parents, celebrated Hollywood fixtures Rob Reiner, 78, and Michele Singer Reiner, 68. He did not enter a plea, contrary to anticipation.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">New details also emerged about the timeline of the deaths of the Hollywood couple.<br>The county medical examiner’s office confirmed on Wednesday that the couple had died on Sunday of “multiple sharp force injuries.” They were found in the master bedroom area of their home on Sunday afternoon, according to the Los Angeles police report.<br>LAPD told city police commissioners on Tuesday that the investigation turned within hours to the couple’s younger son, Nick Reiner, 32, who was arrested without incident on Sunday night near a gas station in South Los Angeles, about 15 miles away from the family’s home.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Nick Reiner, 32, was charged on Tuesday with two counts of first-degree murder. <br>Los Angeles County district attorney, Nathan Hochman, is also pursuing a murder conviction with “special circumstances,” against the suspect. If the younger Reiner is convicted with under that designation, he could be eligible for the death penalty or life in prison without parole.<br>The suspect made his first appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday morning wearing a suicide-prevention smock.<br>It was expected that he would to enter a plea. However, his defense attorney Alan Jackson, told the court that it was “too early” for a plea. Jackson told the court that he and the prosecution had agreed to delay the arraignment until January 7.<br>When the judge asked the defendant if he was OK waiving his right to a speedy arraignment, his response was, “Yes, your honor”.<br>The person who found Rob Reiner’s body was The victim&#8217;s younger daughter Romy Reiner who lived down the street, reportedly entered her parents&#8217; home after receiving a call from a massage therapist who had arrived at the Los Angeles home for a scheduled appointment. She was the first family member at the crime scene<br>On Wednesday, the Reiner siblings in their first statement since their parents’ deaths, asked for respect and privacy.</p>
