Arrested last week and charged with first-degree murder last week for the fatal shooting of Okland, Kristin ‘Krissy’ Ramsey, 53, ‘adamantly maintains her innocence,’ new court filings revealed.
Ramsey who has denied killing Okland and is a ‘person of good moral character,’ according to a 17-page bond review motion filed by her attorneys last Thursday, adding that her morality and mental state will be demonstrated in ‘forthcoming letters of support’ from those who know her best. Furthermore, her lawyers argue, she is ‘aware of the serious nature of this charge. . . …. is taking this case seriously.’
Kristine Ramsey is held at the Dallas County Jail on a $2 million cash bond.
However, her attorney filed a motion seeking bail reduction to $100,000, arguing that ‘it will be next to impossible’ for Ramsey to aid her defense in the 15-year-old cold case if she remains behind bars.
Moreover, with an annual income of $50,000 as a title officer, Kristine and her husband Toby, a local builder, cannot afford to post the $2 million cash bond ordered by the judge
She ‘does not pose a flight risk,’ her lawyers argue, citing her strong familial and community ties to Woodward, the small Des Moines suburb where the family resides.

She pled guilty to that offense.
