<p class="wp-block-paragraph">As of late April and early May 2026, the former JPMorgan Chase staffer who filed a lawsuit accusing a female executive of sexual harassment and abuse has been identified as Chirayu Rana. <br>Chirayu Rana, now a principal at the private equity firm, Bregal Sagemount, according to sources, is the ex-JPMorgan banker who filed the lawsuit against Lorna Hajdini and JPMorgan Chase.<br>Rana, a 35-year-old former a former Senior vice president at the bank, originally filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym &#8220;John Doe&#8221;. <br>The lawsuit accused Lorna Hajdini, a 37-year-old executive director in JPMorgan&#8217;s Leveraged Finance division, of a months-long campaign of sexual assault, racist abuse and coercion, which he is also claiming his former employer condoned after he filed a complaint.<br>According to reports on the case, incidents recorded in the court filings include claims that Hajdini turned up unannounced at Rana’s apartment and forced him to perform sex acts. <br>It also claims that on several occasions she &#8216;roofied&#8217; him, paving the way for the assault.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Hajdini has denied those allegations as her lawyers have stated that their client, “categorically denies the allegations. She never engaged in any inappropriate conduct with this individual of any kind and has never even been to the location where the alleged sexual assault supposedly took place.”<br>Rana&#8217;s chronicle of the alleged coercion states that it began within weeks of his joining JPMorgan’s leveraged finance team in March 2024.<br>He filed an internal complaint in May 2025, alleging race- and gender-based harassment and abuse of power, before trying to negotiate a payoff that ran into “millions” to leave the company, sources said.<br>The suit filed by Rana&#8217;s attorney, Daniel J. Kaiser, in the New York County Supreme Court, lists claimant as “John Doe.” <br>The suit also named JPMorgan Chase as a defendant, accusing the bank of retaliation and failing to investigate properly &#8211; allegations which JPMorgan strongly denied.</p>

<p class="has-small-font-size wp-block-paragraph"><strong>Hajdini, an NYU Stern School of Business graduate is still working at JPMorgan, where the consensus opinion internally, is that she is “a top performer.” Some insiders believe that the complainant “has tarnished her with a complete fabrication”</strong></p>



<p class="wp-block-paragraph">However the bank maintains that a thorough internal probe by the bank’s HR department and in-house lawyers, which included a review of team phone records and emails, found no evidence to support Rana&#8217;s claims. <br>Following an investigation, the bank concluded that “ there’s any merit to these claims.” <br>The firm stated that “While numerous employees cooperated with the investigation, the complainant refused to participate and has declined to provide facts that would be central to support his allegations.”<br>Furthermore it has been clarified that Rana did not report to Hajdini. <br>The two senior bankers were simply colleagues on the leveraged finance team, which works on large corporate acquisitions, mergers, and buyouts.<br>Since Hajdini reported to managing director Brandon Graffeo, while Rana was supervised by another managing director, Jon Wolter. It means she would have no sway over the size of his annual bonus.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">One colleague described Rana, a former basketball player and Rutgers graduate, as “socially awkward” but someone who “met the requirements” to remain at the bank.<br>Hajdini, an NYU Stern School of Business graduate is still working at JPMorgan, where the consensus opinion internally, is that she is “a top performer.” Some insiders believe that the complainant “has tarnished her with a complete fabrication.”<br>Meanwhile Rana’s career in finance includes stints at Houlihan Lokey, Credit Suisse, TCG Capital Markets, Morgan Stanley, and the Carlyle Group before he joined JPMorgan Chase in 2024.<br>Following his departure from JPMC, he is now a principal at New York-based private equity firm, Bregal Sagemount.</p>
