<p class="wp-block-paragraph">The fugitive being hunted for the Monaco bombing that injured a sanctioned Ukrainian oligarch and the woman he was with was identified Friday as a Ukrainian national who disguised herself as a man.<br>Anastasiaa Berezovska, 39, is accused of targeting Ukrainian businessman Vadym Yermolaiev, 58, when she detonated a makeshift bomb that went off at the entrance of his building in Monaco on Monday night.<br>The Ukrainian businessman, his partner and their 13-year-old son were wounded after a man detonated a makeshift bomb in in the principality of Monaco on Monday, June 29.<br>An explosive device filled with bolts and buckshot detonated in the door step of a luxury condo complex in the principality, shortly before 9 p.m. local time. <br>Investigators said video surveillance footage captured images of a man dropping a backpack at the entrance of the building where the family resides, before the explosion.<br>According to witness account on X, &#8220;A suspect was seen on video surveillance fleeing towards the municipality of Beausoleil in France.&#8221; </p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Interpol issued a “red notice” for the arrest of Berezovska on charges of attempted murder, placing an explosive device in a public place with criminal intent, and criminal conspiracy. <br>Among the details released about the suspect by Interpol is the physical marking that she has a snake-like tattoo on her arm that stretches from her shoulder to the elbow.<br>The Ukrainian native “is known for her links with organized crime,” French paper <a href="https://www.leparisien.fr/faits-divers/explosion-a-monaco-le-suspect-recherche-est-une-femme-ukrainienne-de-39-ans-residant-en-allemagne-03-07-2026-VF7R5PVK3RGPZAJZQDPCEB5EC4.php" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Le Parisien</a>, reported.<br>Berezovska was identified as the suspect Friday after cops initially believed a man, who was seen wearing a bucket hat, had carried out the attack.<br>“This person is likely to disguise themselves in such a way as to appear as a man,” authorities in France said.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">She is believed to live in Frankfurt, Germany, about 600 miles from Vadym Yermolaiev’s apartment building where she allegedly planted the explosive and used a remote control to detonate it. However, she was not home when cops searched her home.<br>Berezovska used a car she had rented in Germany to flee the scene. <br>She fled to the French-Italian border before making her way to Switzerland, before returning to Germany.<br>The sophistication of the terror plot suggests she didn’t act alone, officials said.</p>

She was rushed to a Nice hospital where she is said to be fighting for her life, having lost both of her legs. Their teenager suffered less threatening injuries..<br>The suspect reportedly sat on a bench waiting for the trio to return to the apartment before detonating the explosive, according to Monaco prosecutors. <br>As part of their investigation, Monaco police arrested an unnamed foreign national Wednesday because “further checks were deemed necessary” before they were released.
