<p>The kidnapper, Yinusa an adult Muslim male whose age is unknown, was a longstanding customer of Ese’s mother, Rose. The girl had been taken the teenager from the Christian South to Kano, in the predominantly Muslim part of the country, converted to Islam and forced into a sharia child marriage.<br />

<p>Her release followed the launch on Sunday of the “Free Ese” Campaign by launched by citizens of that country. A local newspaper <a href="http://www.punchng.com/breaking-at-last-ig-arase-rescues-ese/" target="_blank">Punch</a> which was in the fore front of the campaign wrote<br />

The release of the teen from her captor’s comes a day after the campaign highlighted the determination of Nigerians who got to know about the shocking incident only on Sunday.</p>
