<p>The 24-year-old said she was forced into quitting her job after footage of her grinding on top of a judge and thrusting her cleavage into his face during a beach dance competition was spotted by parents.<br />
The explicit display took place while she was on an Easter break in Cabo San Lucas, a popular holiday spot in Baja California &#8211; a 15-hour drive from the school in Ciudad Obregon in the northern Mexican state of Sonora where she had taught for three years.<br />

<p>Encouraged by her friends, she agreed to take part and ended up winning and claiming the top prize of £185 ($260) with her sexy moves to the Daddy Yankee reggaeton hit, &#8216;Rompe&#8217;.<br />
However one of the videos taken by onlookers ended up going viral after being posted on a local Facebook news site &#8211; and reaching shocked parents who registered an official complaint.<br />
Last night the teacher, named only as Miss Clarissa in local reports, blasted her former employers at the prestigious fee-paying Cumbre del Noroeste Institute and said they should &#8216;get with the 21st century.&#8217;<br />
She told Mexican newspaper Reforma, where she identified herself as Carla: &#8216;I knew there were mobile phones but I never imagined this would go viral and anyway, I&#8217;m not doing anything bad.<br />
&#8216;It was a dance competition, something like this doesn&#8217;t define me as a person, it was my free time and we&#8217;re in the 21st century.<br />
&#8216;It&#8217;s not something to be afraid of, I&#8217;m not naked, I&#8217;m not having sex or taking drugs or disrespecting anyone.&#8217;<br />

<p>She said upon returning home, she had received dozens of friend requests on Facebook from male fans and was called to a meeting with the school head Leticia Valle and a lawyer who proposed she resign to &#8216;cool things down&#8217;.<br />
She added: &#8216;Someone identified me a teacher as the video reached more and more people and immediately related it to my work and published photos of me with my pupils. They didn&#8217;t give me any other option at my school than to resign. I felt I was being attacked and put under pressure. I didn&#8217;t know what else to do apart from leave as quickly as I could.<br />
&#8216;I&#8217;m a human being like everyone else and at times people believe your profession defines you and you don&#8217;t have a life outside of your job, that you don&#8217;t have friends or family or free time. We&#8217;re not all saints and you can&#8217;t judge a person and question their reputation and their job over something like this.&#8217;<br />

<p>A spokesman for Mango Deck Restaurant Bar &; Beach Club, the beach bar which organised the dance competition, said participants had been warned they could end up on the Internet.<br />
Ricardo Araoz, one of the owners, said: &#8216;We didn&#8217;t force anyone to participate in this way and if this young woman wanted to get up and dance like this, it&#8217;s her responsibility.&#8217;<br />
Adriana German, deputy director at Cumbre del Noroeste Institute, insisted she had resigned for &#8216;personal reasons.&#8217;<br />
The teacher at the centre of the scandal was receiving overwhelming support on social media sites today.<br />
Viviana Garcia wrote on Facebook: &#8216;They&#8217;ve gone too far. The teacher&#8217;s personal life is her own business. It would be different if she didn&#8217;t do her job properly. I&#8217;d sue the school and with what I earn from winning the lawsuit, I&#8217;d take myself off on another holiday and dance even more sexily.&#8217;<br />
Florencio Parra Sanchez said: &#8216;Normally I&#8217;m a puritan but this woman wasn&#8217;t in class, it was a school break and she didn&#8217;t dance like this in her classroom in front of her pupils.&#8217;<br />
Mariandy Vasquez added: &#8216;What next! Are we going to fire pregnant women because it&#8217;s obvious they had sex! What a bunch of hypocrites!&#8217;<br />
However the teacher at the centre of the scandal was receiving overwhelming support on social media sites today Last night a backlash over what had happened was gaining force on the Internet. Nearly 150 people had signed a change.org petition calling for Miss Clarissa to be given her job back. An accompanying text, said to have been written by angry parents who did not support her &#8216;sacking&#8217; and threatening a school fees boycott if she wasn&#8217;t reinstated, said: &#8216;Parents of children at Cumbres Institute deny demanding her resignation. We are angry at the way she was sacked, using a sexist pretext when she was doing what everyone does on holiday which is dance in a bikini.<br />
&#8216;The children she taught adored Miss Clarissa and were very sad when they found out she wouldn&#8217;t be taking class anymore.&#8217;</p>
