The 32-year-old onscreen eldest son of Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard) wed his 31-year-old girlfriend, who plays Lucious&#8217;s ex-fiancée Anika Calhoun.<br />
<a class="" href="http://www.tmz.com/2016/04/16/empire-wedding-trai-byers-grace-gealey/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">TMZ</a> reported that the duo exchanged &#8216;I do&#8217;s&#8217; in a private ceremony at a mansion on Grand Cayman Island on Thursday, with a very limited guest list which reportedly did not include any of their Empire co-stars.</p>

Following the ceremony the happy couple &#8211; and guests &#8211; celebrated dancing to hip-hop, disco, and reggae.<br />
Trai proposed to Grace on her 31st birthday this past July, with <a class="" href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/news/empire-costars-grace-gealey-and-trai-byers-engaged-2015277" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Us Weekly</a> reporting that he &#8216;popped the question and she was totally surprised and elated. She can’t stop looking at the ring! They celebrated all night.&#8217;<br />

In the honeymoon phase</strong></p>
<p>The Fox stars became engaged after Trai popped the question on Grace&#8217;s 31st birthday this past July. Grace seemed to first confirm the engagement while appearing on an October episode of <a class="" href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQHWiDhMqKM" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">FABLife</a>, hosted by Tyra Banks and Chrissy Teigen.<br />
She had been speaking about her thoughts on relationships with co-workers, sharing that she believed it was less likely to be trouble if you established it wasn&#8217;t a fling or &#8216;frivolous and fleeting.&#8217;<br />
&#8216;[You have] to have the maturity to say that if this doesn&#8217;t work out, you&#8217;re not going to you know, throw staplers,&#8217; she said.</p>

This prompted Tyra to ask about Grace&#8217;s relationship with co-star Trai, after which she flashed her engagement ring, noting: &#8216;For real, for real. Not a fling!&#8217;<br />
And when Tyra asked if the actress had told anyone the big news yet, she hinted that her FABLife appearance was the first announcement, quipping: &#8216;I just did!&#8217;<br />
The newlyweds star on Fox&#8217;s smash hit empire, which airs Wednesdays at 9pm.</p>
