<p>Paul was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and was hospitalized last week at Temple University Hospital, his manager Beverly Gay told Philadelphia news outlet NBC 10.<br />
He died Sunday at his home in Blackwood, N.J, according to Gay. A message was posted on his website shortly after his death.<br />

<p>Paul was known for the &#8217;70s single &#8220;Me and Mrs. Jones,&#8221; for which he won a Grammy.<br />
He began his career in showbiz at age 11 when he appeared on the Philly-based radio station WPEN and attended the West Philadelphia Music School and the Granoff School of Music where he received his vocal training.<br />
He served in the Army in 1957 along with fellow musicians Elvis Presley and Gary Crosby, son of Bing Crosby, according to a bio posted on Billypaul.com.<br />
Paul is survived by his wife Blanche.</p>
