<p>A Miami plastic surgeon has been told to stop doing &#8220;Brazilian butt-lift&#8221; procedures after he horribly botched them in a two-day period last year, the Florida Department of Health said.<br />
Four different women had serious complications after they were treated by Dr. Osakatukei &#8220;Osak&#8221; Omulepu in May of last year, officials said. Three of the women suffered distress after they &#8220;underwent liposuction with bilateral fat transfer to the gluteal areas,&#8221; according to the emergency order obtained by the Daily News.<br />
Dr. Omulepu&#8217;s license has been &#8220;hereby immediately restricted from performing liposuction, liposuction with bilateral fat transfer to the buttocks, and/or any procedure using the tumescent technique in the state of Florida,&#8221; reads the order.</p>

The order was signed by Florida Surgeon General John Armstrong earlier this month.<br />
A 35-year-old woman had to be placed on a ventilator due to respiratory failure after the butt-lift procedure. Dr. Omulepu even told her family that he was &#8220;trying to figure out what he did wrong,&#8221; according to the order.<br />
Another 35-year-old woman &#8220;experienced significant bleeding&#8221; from her incision sites after the butt-lift procedure, and a 31-year-old woman also suffered complications.<br />
A fourth woman, 29, was found profusely bleeding in her hotel room after undergoing liposuction of her stomach, planks, abdomen, and bilateral thighs.</p>

<p>The doctor &#8220;repeatedly failed to meet the minimum standard of care in his treatment of four patients, resulting in significant medical emergencies requiring extensive hospitalization for each patient,&#8221; the order states.<br />
&#8220;The extreme number of violations that occurred within this two-day period, which resulted in significant and lasting patient harm, indicates that Dr. Omulepu&#8217;s conduct is likely continue. If his conduct continues, it will cause significant harm to his patients.&#8221;<br />
In a promotional video obtained by the Miami Herald, Dr. Omulepu describes himself as &#8220;very aggressive when it comes to liposuction.&#8221; He also says in the video that &#8220;safety is a concern, always, when it comes to surgery.” He has been licensed in Florida since 2000.</p>
