<p>A former California dental assistant sexually assaulted 13 female patients, he admitted in court on Wednesday.<br />
Luis Ramos&#8217; victims ranged in age from 17 to 63, CBS in San Diego reported. Ramos now faces up to 15 years in prison when he is sentenced in August.<br />
&#8220;They&#8217;re relieved to have this over,&#8221; Deputy District Attorney Martin Doyle told the station, referring to the victims. &#8220;A lot of them were scared and frightened to testify, and they&#8217;re pleased that Mr. Ramos won&#8217;t be out there doing that to someone else.&#8221;<br />
The 36-year-old Ramos sexually assaulted the victims as the anesthesia was wearing off after procedures at Park Boulevard Oral &; Maxillofacial Surgery.</p>

<p>Ramos confessed to to sexually touching nine women, and penetrating several of them, according to NBC.<br />
The sexual assaults took place over a one-year period concluding in January, NBC reported.<br />
He worked a the facility for three years. Earlier this year dental surgeon Dr. Steven Podstreleny told NBC that Ramos had been &#8220;a stellar employee.&#8221;</p>

<p>At least one of the attacks was caught on surveillance cameras. Podstreleny had put the cameras in for &#8220;extra layer of protection,&#8221; according to the station. Authorities looked at more than 500 hours of surveillance footage.<br />
Ramos was busted for multiple counts of felony sexual battery of an institutionalized victim, NBC reported. Ramos would have faced 17 years in prison if the case went to trial.<br />
&#8220;Mr. Ramos didn&#8217;t get much of a deal out of our office,&#8221; Doyle told CBS. &#8220;He wasn&#8217;t the kind of defendant that we would bend over backwards to give a deal.&#8221;</p>
