<p>The Florida murder Deyont&#8217;e Resiles, was awaiting a hearing, friday on whether he would face the death penalty in his upcoming trial on charges that he murdered a member of the Halliburton business family during a home invasion robbery almost two years ago. But he bolted for freedom from the couthouse after receiving help from his girlfriend and three others as part of a plot that had been planned during jailhouse calls and visits. According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, four people have been taken into custody because they helped 22-year-old Dayont’e Resiles break free on Friday, at around 9:30 a.m. They were identified as 17-year-old Kreton Barnes, 17-year-old Trevon Barnes, 22-year-old Winston Russell Jr. and 18-year-old Laquay Stern. The four accomplices have been arrested but Resiles remains a fugitive</p>

<p>The suspect is charged with first-degree murder in the September 2014 killing of Jill Halliburton Su, grand-niece of Halliburton Co. founder Erie P. Halliburton. The 59-year-old wife and mother of two,was found, bound at the hands and feet and stabbed multiple times, in the bathtub of her home in Davie, Florida. Police believe Su was home when Resiles picked her home to burglarize. Investigators said Resiles smashed a back glass door to break into the residence, in Davie, robbing the house and killing Su.</p>

<p>According Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, the multi-taskinng foursome handled different aspects of the plan. Resiles&#8217; 18-year-old girlfriend, LaQuay Stern, parked her car under a bridge next to the courthouse, where she and Winston Russell waited with a bag of clothes. The twins went into the courtroom,. As Resiles slipped out of his handcuffs and ankle shackles and broke for the door, one of the twins coughed into a cellphone to signal Stern and Russell that he was on his way. Resiles shed his jail jumpsuit in the hallway , fled into Stern&#8217;s car. Russell gave him a change of clothing and kept for himself a generic police uniform, the purpose of the uniform&#8217;s purpose is yet to be determinned.Stern and Russell then drove Resiles to an apartment from which he disappeared, Sheriff Isreal said.<br />
&#8220;The fact that Resiles remains at large tells me that there are others aiding and abetting in his escape,&#8221; Israel said. The search for the fugitive remains focused on South Florida but a nationwide alert has been issued. Rewards totaling $20,000 are being offered for his capture</p>

<p>According to the arrest papers, the escape was planned during several phone calls and visitations Resiles had with Stern and Russell. The documents say Stern and Russell confessed and laid out the plan to investigators.<br />
Stern and Russell are charged with escape and accessory after the fact to capital murder and are being held without bail at the Broward County Jail. The twins face the same charges as juveniles.<br />
Although, there is no indication Resiles received help from a guard or other law enforcement agent, an internal affairs investigation has been opened, wth a focus on how Resiles was able to shed his restraints.<br />
&#8220;There is only two ways to get out of cuffs &#8212; either they weren&#8217;t put on tight or you have a cuff key,&#8221; sheriff Isreal said.</p>
