<p class="mol-para-with-font">Following a tip from the public, two male suspects have been arrested and charged with the kidnapping and rape of a sheriff&#8217;s deputy in Johnson County, Kansas.<br />
Prosecutors announced Tuesday, that the men, William Luth, 24, from Blue Springs, Missouri and Brady Newman-Caddell, 21, from Independence, Kansas, are facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, two counts of rape each and aggravated sodomy.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The Facebook profile for the married father of one says he studied at Full Sail University, in Orange County, Florida. His accomplice Newman-Caddell&#8217;s Facebook page says he works at Texas Roadhouse, a steak restaurant.<br />
Police say the suspects followed the woman, who is a deputy sheriff and in her early 20s, from a QuikTrip market at E. Santa Fe and South Ridgeview to the county jail parking lot at 101 N. Kansas Avenue in Olathe and then kidnapped and blindfolded her about 11.30pm on Friday.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">They reportedly released her around 1.15 am, with instructions to keep her head covered, before they drove off. She was freed in a dark and remote area near Interstate 470 and Northeast Woods Chapel Road and staggered until she saw the lights of the Jackson County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.</p>

<p class="imageCaption">Police believe that though this was a planned the attack, the suspects did not know this particular victim: &#8216;I do believe there was some planning premeditation for lack of a better word,&#8217; said Captain Brian Hill at a press conference. Surveillance camera footage showed the men sitting in a blue vehicle in the parking lot of the QuikTrip and then following the victim as she drove away.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">“Our suspect vehicle at the Quik Trip pulls into a gas pump basically. Neither subject gets out of the car. Nobody pumps any gas. Nobody throws anything away and sits there until our deputy leaves. At the time she backs out and leaves, he exits and follows here,” says Hill. “We have a pretty good camera trail from the Quik Trip all the way to the parking lot. It appears evident to us that although they may not have been specifically looking for our victim, they were looking for a victim,” said Hill.</p>

<p>According to Jackson County Sheriff Mike Sharp, the victim was dropped off half a mile away from the sheriff department’s headquarters. She kept walking in her battered condition until she saw the lights coming from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.<br />
“She got dropped off in a very dark, remote location and she just started walking toward the light,” “It was very fortunate that we had somebody there that was able to bring her in and make her feel safe again. I can’t imagine what she went through. I know that she had to be terrified.”<br />
The incident sparked a massive manhunt lasting throughout the weekend. Investigators were looking for the men in a blue car who they said abducted the deputy outside the Johnson County Jail house and sexually assaulted her for two hours before finally letting her go. The public tip off that reportedly led to the whereabouts of the men, helped with the serving of search warrants, Monday night.<br />
The victim is reportedly &#8216;doing okay&#8217; and helping in the investigation. <span class="mol-style-bold"> </span><br />
Luth and Brady Newman-Caddell are now charged in the kidnapping and sexual assault of a Kansas sheriff’s deputy.They have both been held on a $1 million bond.</p>
