<article id="ra-body">The pop star who recently announced a career break to confront issues with anxiety and depression, checked into a treatment center in Tennessee to continue her recuperation.<br />
&#8220;Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,&#8221; one insider told the Us Weekly magazine. &#8220;She can go to a very dark place.&#8221;<br />
Gomez cut short her current&#8221;Revival&#8221; world tour in late August, after suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, which she said were &#8220;side effects of lupus.&#8221; She told People magazine she needed to manage the side effects stemming from her lupus diagnosis, including the listed symptoms. Gomez canceled 34 remaining dates on her <i>Revival </i>world tour.</p>

<p>The singer who confirmed her lupus diagnosis in public, last year, was again in the spotlight over the weekend when she dined at a Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tenn., where she politely obliged fans and wait staff by posing for photos.<br />
&#8220;She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch,&#8221;a manager at the restaurant told E! News. &#8220;She couldn&#8217;t have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever.&#8221;<br />
Gomez who checked into rehab for the first time.in 2014, earlier underwent chemotherapy treatment to combat the disease in 2013 after taking a break from her &#8220;Stars Dance&#8221; tour.</p>

<p>&#8220;I got diagnosed with lupus,&#8221; she explained to GQ earlier this year. “My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be okay.&#8221;<br />
Gomez is currently receiving treatment in a town on the outskirts of Nashville, Tenn. It&#8217;s unclear when the singer, who released her second solo album &#8220;Revival&#8221; last fall, will return to the music scene.<br />
&#8220;She was supposed to be recording, but she hasn&#8217;t told anyone when she&#8217;ll be back in studio,&#8221; a source told Us Weekly.</p>
