“Selena is dealing with lupus, but this break is to focus on her mental health,” one insider told the Us Weekly magazine. “She can go to a very dark place.”
Gomez cut short her current”Revival” world tour in late August, after suffering from anxiety, panic attacks, and depression, which she said were “side effects of lupus.” She told People magazine she needed to manage the side effects stemming from her lupus diagnosis, including the listed symptoms. Gomez canceled 34 remaining dates on her Revival world tour.

The singer who confirmed her lupus diagnosis in public, last year, was again in the spotlight over the weekend when she dined at a Texas Roadhouse in Alcoa, Tenn., where she politely obliged fans and wait staff by posing for photos.
“She enjoyed herself and was there for a late lunch,”a manager at the restaurant told E! News. “She couldn’t have been more gracious to everyone and to the fans and was more than happy to take pictures with whoever.”
Gomez who checked into rehab for the first time.in 2014, earlier underwent chemotherapy treatment to combat the disease in 2013 after taking a break from her “Stars Dance” tour.

“I got diagnosed with lupus,” she explained to GQ earlier this year. “My mom had a very public miscarriage. So I had to cancel my tour. I needed time to just be okay.”
Gomez is currently receiving treatment in a town on the outskirts of Nashville, Tenn. It’s unclear when the singer, who released her second solo album “Revival” last fall, will return to the music scene.
“She was supposed to be recording, but she hasn’t told anyone when she’ll be back in studio,” a source told Us Weekly.
