<div> A woman stabbed her boyfriend through the heart with a steak knife and then &#8220;sacrificed&#8221; him by waiting nearly an hour to call emergency helpline call for help, a murder trial has been told.</div>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">The prosecution claims Magson stabbed Mr Knight, 26, on the doorstep of her home in Leicester following a drunken row in the early hours of March 27 then &#8216;calmly&#8217; waited 45 minutes to call an ambulance..<br />
Mr Knight&#8217;s dying breaths could be heard on a &#8216;chilling&#8217; 999 call she made 45 minutes later, in which she said he had &#8216;collapsed&#8217; after a night out &#8211; without mentioning the knife wound.<br />
Leicester Crown Court heard that when told an ambulance might be delayed, Magson calmly told them: &#8220;No, that&#8217;s fine, don&#8217;t worry about it.&#8221;<br />
A court heard she pretended he had been in a fight and even stopped a Good Samaritan from turning him over because it would have revealed his stab wound.<br />
The prosecuting, Michael Evans, told the jury of six men and six women Magson plunged a steak knife 11.5 centimetres into Mr Knight&#8217;s chest in &#8220;anger&#8221; and not to protect herself.</p>

She took the T-shirt indoors then went back outside to allegedly downplay the seriousness of his injury by lying to neighbors, including the victim&#8217;s brother, Kevin Knight, who lived nearby.<br />
The defendant told them he was drunk and had been fighting with bouncers.</p>

The prosecution highlighted the callousness displayed by the defendant, stating that Magson &#8216;deceived them [neighbors] into believing he wasn&#8217;t seriously injured, saying &#8216;he&#8217;s on coke, he&#8217;s on drugs, he doesn&#8217;t need help&#8217;.<br />
He added: &#8216;Her calmness caused even his own brother to be deceived that he didn&#8217;t need help.&#8217;<br />
According to Evans said James Knight and Emma Magson had been in a rather &#8216;volatile&#8217; relationship for some time. On the dayhe died, Knight met up with Magson earlier in the evening at the city center. The couple got a taxi to Magson&#8217;s home around midnight, but started arguing &#8216;As soon as they got into the cab&#8217; which led to the cabbie asking them to disembark.<br />
The prosecutor told the court that &#8216;when James Knight was sitting on one side of the seat and the defendant was lying down on the other side, kicking him&#8217;.<br />
Getting out of the cab CCTV cameras captured Knight pushing his girlfriend &#8216;aggressively&#8217; to the floor, she got up and they continued walking to her house, at one point holding hands.</p>

As the 26-year-old father of two lay fatally wounded in the street, he slipped into unconsciousness. But as two residents and his brother came out to help him Magson &#8216;deceived them into believing he wasn&#8217;t seriously injured, saying &#8216;he&#8217;s on coke, he&#8217;s on drugs, he doesn&#8217;t need help&#8217;,&#8217; said Mr Evans.</p>

&#8216;It&#8217;s only then his brother, nearby, realises how serious it is.<br />
&#8216;It was 45 minutes after he carried his brother into the apparent safety of his girlfriend&#8217;s house.<br />
&#8216;She has told continuous lies, blaming his injuries on bouncers.&#8217;<br />
Magson told detectives at the scene that Knight had turned up at her house alone and collapsed outside her home, where she had found him.<br />
Mr Evans said: &#8216;It was only when she realized she had no option that she admits she stabbed him.<br />
&#8216;We say, she&#8217;d opened the door to him armed with a kitchen knife and stabbed him through the chest, and after she&#8217;d done that she literally sacrificed him.&#8217;<br />
