<div>TWO cannibals, Kirill Nemykin and Sergey Metlyayev in Siberia who raped a 31-year-old woman in a sauna before killing her and eating her at a party have been jailed for 12 years.<br />
Nemykin and Metlyayev, from Novokuznetsk in Siberia, Russia, reportedly invited Nadezhda Avakumova to a sauna where they took turns haveing sex with the woman who was drunk at the time.</div>

<p>Police told the court that when she later she came to, Avakumova threatened to report both men for rape, as “she did not realise what was happening” because she was drunk.</p>

<p>The pair reportedly beat her up and locked her in an underground storage cellar at the home of one of the men. This forced inprisonment intially quietened the victim. Later she wanted to be let out and started “banging, screaming and pleading for help”.</p>

<p>At this point the prosecution said, Kirill Nemykin got a big knife from the table, opened the cellar, and when the woman attempted to escape he grabbed her hair and plunged a knife in her throat.<br />
Avakumova reportedly died almost instantanously. The two men proceded to cut her up and cooked her, serving the meat to friends at a macabre party.</p>

<p>Assistant state prosecutor, Yana Prodchenko, told the court: ‘Nemykin together with Metlyayev took the body of the woman onto terrace of the house.</p>

<p>“Metlyayev got an axe and started cutting the body into pieces.</p>

<p>“He took her cut off leg and walked around the house showing it to everyone, laughing and smiling.</p>

<p>“Women at the house were shocked despite being drunk.</p>

<p>“Metlyayev started eating the human meat and offering it to everyone to try it.</p>

<p>Later, her two killers packed the woman’s remains in plastic bags and dumped them in bins at the end of the street, before rejoining the party.</p>

<p>The horrific incident, which occurred in 2014, has taken two years to reach court – and the pair were only prosecuted after the partner of one of the men revealed details to police.</p>

<p>After taking a guilty plea for the murder ofNadezhda Avakumova and the subsequent cannibalism, the men were sentenced to just 12 years in prison for the horrific crime.</p>
</div>
<div>The killer Nemykin, was also ordered to pay 800,000 roubles $12,843 in compensation to the mother of the victim.</div>
