<p class="mol-para-with-font">He gunned down six people in a brothel &#8211; after becoming &#8216;overcome with emotion&#8217; when he discovered that a girl he had wanted was with another client, it was reported today.<br />
Costa, 27, had arrived at the Leo Drinks Bar prostitution house saying he wanted to spend the night with a particular prostitute, according to reports.<br />
He then went into a jealous rage after he was told that the woman, 30-year-old Dione da Silva Lima, was already with another man in a bedroom in the brothel.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Costa, a hairdresser who is married with a newborn son, reportedly fetched a 38. calibre pistol from his car before returning to the establishment and opened fire.<br />
After gunning down the brothel&#8217;s 72-year-old owner, her 29-year-old granddaughter, a barman, a waitress and a 46-year-old prostitute, Costa burst into the bedroom where Ms Lima was with Anderson Montenor, 37, a businessman in the town, and killed them both.<br />
Police chief, Wanderley Santos, described the murders were &#8216;very calculated&#8217;.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">He later gave himself up to police hours after the bloodbath on Thursday morning. He claimed the murders were a crime of passion and that he had never intended to kill anyone.<br />
Speaking to Brazil&#8217;s Radio 101 FM, he said: &#8216;I was overcome with emotion. The guy stole away the girl from me.<br />
&#8216;I said he shouldn&#8217;t have done that and there was an argument, a fight and things got out of control.&#8217;</p>
