<p class="mol-para-with-font">The official causes of death were determined by the Douglas County Coroner’s Office on Friday. Autopsies on the boys revealed they both had traces of oxycodone and oxymorphone in their system when they die, according to the <a class="" href="http://www.denverpost.com/2016/12/23/highlands-ranch-mother-two-sons-ruled-murder-suicide/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Denver Post</a>.<br />
Diphenhydramine, which is usually found in Benadryl, was also found in their blood.<br />
Their mother had traces of anti-depressants bupropion and desmethylvenlafaxine in her system at the time.<br />
Police found the boys shot dead in their car seats, according to the autopsy report.<br />
It was earlier revealed that Laber had bought a handgun just hours before fatally shooting her sons and then turning the weapon on herself.</p>

Her husband Ryan, reported them missing later that night after she failed to return to the family&#8217;s home with their boys.</p>

<p class="mol-para-with-font">Authorities issued a missing person alert along with photographs of the trio and a description of the 2011 Chrysler minivan she was driving.<br />
Police also released a still photograph captured from a school surveillance camera that showed the mother leaving with the two boys.<br />
Officers said they did not believe an amber alert was needed at the time, insisting there were no indicators they may be at risk of harm while in their mother&#8217;s care.<br />
The following morning, a passerby called police after spotting a minivan parked at a loading dock outside a disused Sports Authority store in Lone Tree, seven miles from the school, that matched the description of the missing vehicle.<br />
When officers searched the vehicle, they found the bodies.</p>
