An Oklahoma hardware salesman killed his wife so he could start a new life with his stripper girlfriend, county prosecutors have said. Kinney J. Glasson Jr., 36, was charged with first-degree murder in November 2014 for allegedly gunning down 41-year-old his wife, Erin Glasson, while she slept in their Oklahoma City home.
Glasson told cops his wife was shot during an altercation with an intruder in their home who caused him to point the pistol in the direction of his wife.
The Oklahoman reports that prosecutors debunked the defense story, countering that there were no signs of a break-in or burglary, and that suspect’s story did not match bullet trajectories.
Investigators uncovered that Glasson had been having an affair with a 24-year-old Oklahoma City stripper, Reva Ann Smith who had been locked up in Stephens County Jail for unrelated charges at the time. Reva told police she was receiving letters and phone calls from Glasson saying he would bail her out and be with her once his ‘divorce was ‘finalized in January.’

However, there were no proof Glasson ever filed for divorce.
Defense attorney, Richard Hull, told the court that just because his client was having an affair ‘doesn’t mean he killed his wife.’
The suspect told police he and his wife were asleep when he awoke around 3am and saw an ‘unknown man in the bedroom.’ – The intruder did not say anything and ‘just grunted,’ according to the defense. Glasson said he then grabbed his pistol but the intruder ‘pushed his arm’ in the direction on his wife.
While not disputing their client was the shooter, the defense contended there was ‘unknown DNA’ found on the gun.
Court documents stated that Smith met Glasson at an Oklahoma strip club where she worked as an exotic dancer, they began their relationship. Glasson told his girlfriend he was an FBI agent and carried a badge, but prosecutors said he was working as a hardware salesman at the time of his arrest.
ADA Dan Pond read the conversations Glasson had with Smith while she was behind bars:
‘I love you. I love you always…. I’m here for you baby. I’ll take care of you. I promise. … I know I can be the man to make you happy,’ Pond read to the jury.
