54&comma; lives in Atlanta&comma; Georgia&period; He previously served as Alabama&&num;8217&semi;s attorney general&comma; preceding Senator Jeff Sessions&comma; Mr Trump&&num;8217&semi;s choice for US attorney general&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;If confirmed&comma; he would be the only member of the U&period;S&period; Supreme Court who did a stint as a politician&comma; and it was during that time that he took some of his most notable positions on civil rights and discrimination cases&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;Very much an independent thinker&comma;
